Buns Galore

The local bakery in town, this is the place you come to purchase bread, or if you are feeling fancy cakes or pasteries. Because resources are so scarce this town has a system where you can drop off your own bread to be baked in the ovens as well, for a small fee. Though there are those who suspect that they don't always get their own bread back, and that some of the loaves for sale seem to rather like the ones they dropped off, and that the loaves seem to shrink a bit when they bake. There are other goods for sale...small cakes, cookies, and pies. These are generally not quite as tasty as they look, but they are a nice change from the every day. The inside of the bakery is very clean and tidy, and anyone bringing a muddy boot inside is given a glare by Baker Beowulf which has them stepping back outside again. He runs a tight ship, there seems to be a lot of staff turnover, but there's not a lot of options for buying bread elsewhere, so for now this is it. There are no cozy chairs or tables, you purchase your food and leave quickly so as not to get crumbs on the floor.
