King Ithor
Son of Hathrel, His Majesty, King Superior, Ruler of Balnavia, Lord Protector of the Ember Isles, of the House of Athor
King Ithor
You are evil.
A wolf in sheep's skin.
You have lied and bribed your way to power, turning falsehoods into truths and making the darkness appear as light.
Your mind is twisted and you have twisted the minds of those who follow you, so there are none left to question your authority.
You hold complete power over all the people. What you command, they do.
Your word is law.
But someday. Someday, all your corruption shall come to light.
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
He's a strong man, and although past his prime, he is in very good health, and rarely falls sick. Tall, and thin, not athletic, but agile, and quick with his hands. His main physical complaint is the headaches that plague him, and it was rumored that he sought out a witch whom he paid to correct his poor eyes.
Facial Features
All who have seen him cannot help but mark what a stern face he has. Ithor rarely smiles with genuine emotion, and his features often appear drawn and harsh, although he can make himself quite pleasant if he so desires.
Physical quirks
Ithor walks with a very rigid, stately air which is often intimidating to those who see him.

Personal history
Born into royalty as the second son of the late Lord Hathrel, Grey Sage and Advisor to the King, Ithor lived the life of a spoiled brat. As the child of the second most important person in Balnavia, Ithor was given everything and anything he could possibly want.
Except for power.
That all went to Denoir, his brother, who as the oldest son, would one day inherit his father's name and title.
This fact greatly vexed Ithor and as a child he hated his brother. The animosity between them only grew as they aged and one day, fate would bring their relationship to a climax.
(How Ithor came to possess the Crown is a tale far to long to relate here and thus, must be left untold...for now.)
Education
As a young man of the royal courts, and son of The Gray Sage, Ithor was given the best education his country had to offer. All his schooling was done at home with private tutors, and his education consisted of those lessons fit for a young Balnavian man of high rank, such as history, politics, philosophy, science, mathematics, language, music, dance, and lore.
He received some formal training in the arts of weaponry, and physical combat, but as a young man, Ithor cared little for the sword, much more interested in developing the strength of his mind then the strength of his arm. Often he would discard such lessons to engage in passionate discussions with his trainer, or any body who would entertain him, skillfully weaving together ideas and arguments that left his opponents, and listeners, baffled, and speechless, and usually, completely won to his side. If he was not discussing the mysteries of the universe, he was hidden away within his father's library, reading for such great lengths, often times deep into the night, that he developed bad headaches, and often complained of pain in his eyes. He was an average swordsman, was poor with his aim, did not care much for athletics, and any sort of training in the form of weaponless fighting, were eventually abandoned due to his lack of interest, and the poor reflection it cast on him, as he was soundly beaten every time, much to everyone's embarrassment, except Ithor's. But in knowledge and wisdom, he excelled far beyond what was expected of him. His mind was quick, and sharp, and cunning. His tutors called him "silver-tongued", and his powers of persuasion were incredible to behold. Such a man, burdened with heavy thoughts, and so often cloistered away, if not physically, then in his own mind, was expected to be awkward and lacking the graces and refinement of more "balanced" men, and while Ithor was certainly lacking in terms of a friendly nature, often coming across as cold, austere, and silent, there was a a charm he possessed that absolutely captivated people.
Intellectual Characteristics
Ithor is extremely intelligent. As a small boy he was very inquisitive and possessed a insatiable desire to learn and understand.
Logical and organized, he analyzes everything, figuring out the whens, and whys and hows of the world. He is a deep thinker.
