Black Hole Phylactery

A mysterious, impossibly black orb currently in the posession of Kamon Kadmus. It is cold to the touch, and seemingly safe to hold...yet it doesn't feel safe, and fills all but the most hungry for power with an inexplainable unease in its presence. The patterns within whirl and fold in on each other in a silent kind of beauty, almost as if it were alive. Few know about its existence, fewer still its capabilities, and how he came across it is a tale Kamon keeps close to his chest.
In each instance Kamon has revealed it, it's been considered a test for the individual being shown it. They're promised that it has the power to make all their wishes come true, to achieve all their goals and more without issue, described as a conduit for storing and harnessing energy of immense power. Most given this opportunity refuse, having been students of Kamon himself and sharing a similar mindset that discourages them from taking such a path, or at the very least being wary enough of the ominous presence it exudes and a promise far too good to be true. Those who are enrapt by the allure of power in such a small, delicate object swiftly find the folly in their ways. 
Whenever an individual attempts to withdraw the boundless amounts of energy stored within, they tether themselves to it in a cyclical nature, all its power flowing through the individual and back into the black hole phylactery, and with it their own energy. One of particularly strong mind and body might be able to maintain dominance over the orb long enough to tap into some of its power before severing the connection, but to date none has barring Kamon himself has managed it. The unfortunate fate of those who try to draw on the wellspring of power handed to them is to find themselves trapped within the source of that power, their body atomising and further fuelling the phylactery. Their mind may remain intact for a short period, but inevitably all drawn within find their individuality stripped away, just another mindless piece of energy to later be used.
