Elris

Elris. The continent is the totality of the known world, but it is entirely unremarkable compared to what surrounds it, the Magil Sea.   The Sea is overcharged with mana, the very fabric of magic, resulting in unstable waters, unable to be traveled by any vessel, and massive magical storms assail Elris' shores, with rain and hail capable of sundering entire towns and winds strong enough to turn back dragons.   But there are those that brave the storms, for the sea also brings artifacts, items from somewhere over the sea, damaged beyond use, however rusted twisted swords and waterlogged spellbooks are still worth fortunes because of their origin. Yet the truly valuable items, the relics, are those that haven't been destroyed by the Sea, but instead bolstered by it, made into something more.   Relics are what make History. They have started wars and ended them, created kingdoms and destroyed them, given birth to great heroes and terrible tyrants. They are the axis upon witch Elris turns.
