The Last Breath of Tafi

The Tafian faith, more properly known as The Last Breath of Tafi and Those Who Carry His Guidance, is a monastic order with a presence in most major populated areas. The Tafian faith follows initially verbal (and now codified) stories of Tafi, a godling who was said to have become a humanoid and driven the initial growth of nations. Tafi is generally seen as a benevolent and helpful deity who wants to work towards the benefit of all nations, though many sceptics will debate whether Tafi existed and, if he did, whether he intended to use the faith of nations to build his own power and thus bring Laerdt'nah into his image.   The Tafian faith is considered relatively harmless at worst and beneficial at best, giving people a place of belonging and a message of working to help their neighbour in both good and bad times. The Tafian faith welcomes all to their spira (the name for their holy buildings which feature three large points on the top) to pray, to learn, and to celebrate with their neighbours. Many Tafian spiras have common gathering hours at various points within each moon, though there are more formal gatherings on the first and last of every deoch to celebrate what was accomplished or earned in the deoch and to pledge or dedicate towards what will be accomplished in the next.   Those who observe the Tafian faith are often known as "Breaths" and many wear symbols of the faith on jewellery, on clothing, or on other items. The symbol of the Tafian faith is two cupped, open palms lifting a cradled sphere into the air. Many Tafian faithful will also carry a small sphere with them when they travel (which could be a rock, a pillow, or anything else which resembles a sphere) in case they would like to pray. Prayer within the Tafian face involves two people as a Tafian must stare into the sphere (putting their message into the world) and then exchange their sphere with another (to have another help bring the message into reality). In some cases, a Breath may keep a sphere given to them in a special place in their home, at least until they have helped the person who gave it to them achieve their goal (as a visual reminder of their commitment).   Monks who follow the Tafian faith, and who conduct the various ceremonies, wear patchwork robes that must be made by other monks or members of the community. While anyone can become a Tafian monk, any monk must dedicate themselves to self-betterment and community-betterment without harm and they must be at least the age of adulthood in their respective culture. While some Tafian monks live at spiras, so that they can provide assistance at any time of day, many more live scattered throughout their community, typically easily found due to their large vegetable or fruit gardens and the trunks many have outside their house that are filled with clothes, food, and other goods for those who many need them.
