Sun Orchid Elixir

The Sun Orchid Elixir is revered as the most holy potion, claimed to have been first imbibed by Laelio herself when she walked the baking sands. The elixir required nearly all parts of the plant, and required at least one full bloom of a plant which had bloomed for 10 days straight and absorbed water too hot to touch without suffering burns. The Elixir itself was said to grant near-immortality and complete protection from the heat and from all forms of dehydration (though some sincerely questioned this and instead guessed that the elixir instead acted as a strong hallucinogenic and pain suppresser). The elixir’s formula was very well guarded by the Stewards, but for those with enough drive and lack of self-preservation, supposed “true” formulae could be bargained for or off of the right people, though their sources were often conflicting and rarely verifiable.
