Vermoni

Vermoni are a dagavirm racial-ethnic group centrally located south of the Feldek Mountain Range in what is now known as the Southern Burrows, it is said to have formed as recently as 200 A.S. in the southeastern regions of the Northern Burrow area. The Vermoni ethnicity seemingly grew quickly due to dagavirm mating culture which significantly reduces the time necessary for a homogeneous group to begin consolidating genetic mutations to form the basis of an anthropological change in things like facial structure, pigmentation, and skeletal disposition.

Culture

Food and Dietary Habits

Vermoni dietary habits have been observed to be extremely wheat-based, with a majority of food consumed by Vermoni dagavirm to be grain or wheatgrain-based products. Approximately two thirds of Vermoni regularly consume around 50-60 lbs of bread per year, with just 20-30% of their diet consisting of meat, cheese, starch, or vegetables. With this in mind, it is just as common for the rest of the population mentioned to consume their fair share of bread, however this remaining third of the population seems to also have an unbalanced diet of meat and animal product. Over three-quarters of this healthier portion of the vermoni population consumes 40lbs of meat and dairy every year, this includes steaks, grounded beefs, dried lambchops, cheese, and even Great-Rat meat in some areas. The dietary health of most dagavirm in Vermoni is surprisingly high despite this, with most daga burrow citizens being able to eat a more "balanced" diet than that of their Lakivir and Kryslogin contemporaries, however a high rate of heart-failure and cholesterol has been exhibited in many Vermoni males and females, with some even inheriting heart and liver-related illnesses down the line.

Traditions and Customs

Customary to much of Vermoni society is a love and appreciation for food, as most Vermoni holidays and seasons revolve around the celebration of things like Bread, Fish, Meat, and Cheese. For this reason the celebration and near religious adoration given to Vermoni farmers, pastry chefs, cooks, hunters and fishermen should come as no surprise; without question, some of the most prestigeous and famous figures in Vermoni dagavirm society are those who have professions in the Vermoni food industry in some way, shape, or form.

Education and Ideals

At the center of Vermoni culture is a strong emphasis placed on individualism and expression, most important of all is that of one's own abilities and skills. At a very young age Vermoni of all social classes are brought up under the idea that they are uniquely skilled in a craft or profession that they have yet to discover and only by social exploration with other individuals will they be able to settle into a clique that excels them forwards in life. This individualism extends further into Vermoni Common Law and the Market of Exchange where new ideas and dialogues are encouraged to help develop an individual's mind and shape their understanding of the world. It is for this reason that there seems to be constant, and dramatic, social upheaval throughout most of Vermoni society, according to scholars.

Courting and Mating

Typical courting and mating rituals in Vermoni dagavirm society shift from burrow to burrow, however a common theme present in nearly all burrows is the activity of males courting females into sexual relationships. Due to many females' limited fertility cycles there is a clear and common interest in both males and females to begin relationships as soon as possible, while dagavirm males are capable of reproduction as early as 10-12 years old, and females around 9-13, the commonly prohibited consensual age is typically agreed upon to be 14-16 years old. For this reason, most Vermoni families begin relatively early in a young daga's lifetime, with most pregnancies resulting in litters at the ages of 19-26. While male fertility grows over time, female fertility abruptly ends, usually, at the age of 30. A very common cause of Vermoni childhood neglect stems from a complex issue of male parental abandonment, with nearly half of Vermoni children never knowing their biological father either because of partner seperation or death, as many fathers tend to marry and court spouses after the age of 30, nearing the end of their lives, to focus on their careers while they are young.

Genetics

Appearance

Several key features found in the Vermoni population, including: stubbier ears, larger eyes, lighter fur and pigmentation, and longer, more rigid tails, appear in higher rates of density the farther South the population sample is found. The skeletal and genetic composition of a Vermoni is unique in that it displays a sharper and more durable frame than that of the Lakivir or even Kryslogin. Additionally, Vermoni sexual dimorphism is particularly distinct, with males typically being a few feet taller than females, this is particularly unique among males of other dagavirm ethnic groups who usually don't share any difference in shape or size with their own female counterparts.

Coloration and Patterns
One of the most distinct features found in Vermoni dagavirm is eye and fur coloration, with several Vermoni families having distinct Blue and Grey eyes. However eye coloration is just the beginning, as many Vermoni have distinct fur patterns which give indication to their family, or clan, backgrounds. The most common of these mutations are: Speckled, Striped, Spotted, Streaked, and Grated.

Familial Traits

Studies suggest that the Vermoni exhibit congenital signs of tolerance to lactose and other animal product, ten times more likely, in fact, than those of Kryslogin or Lakivir ethnic backgrounds. The root cause of this may be an early mutation tracing back as early as 500 A.S. when Northern Burrow Vermoni trade caravans came into contact with early Burwick cattle ranchers.
