"I could feel a holy aura wash over me right from the moment i set foot into the Cathedral. The atmosphere was fresh, and the cathedral itself was illuminated by an enchanted chandelier from above. On all sides, there were stained glass artworks of the various divines, and right above the altar, was a painting of all the gods together. If there"s one thing that has bound us for centuries, its the faith in the divines and the faith that they will protect us, no matter what. In dark and dangerous times like these, faith does serve a far bigger purpose as a beacon of hope for a lot of us"

The Sanguine Cathedral is the largest and most important building for the Sanctus Divinatus, the official and most widespread religion practised not only bv the Imperium, but probably all of mankind. Built around an already existing altar during the reign of emperor Alric IV Christiansen, this building is the holiest as well as most important building in the entire Imperium, even surpassing that of the Imperial royal palace. Every year, Tens of thousands of pilgrims flock to the Cathedral to pay homage to it.

Purpose / Function

The Cathedral serves as the most holy structure in the Sanctus Divinatus, serving not only as a place for prayer but also a cultural place which many consider to have been blessed by the gods themselves.
