Minotaur

The Minotaur race is not indigenous to Elios.   Long before recorded time, a large vessel of anthropomorphic bovines, called Tauren, left their home world of Minoth. This race was very technologically advanced, reaching knowledge far beyond what anyone on Elios has yet to discover.   Shortly after entering the planets atmosphere, dragons of all sizes attacked the vessel and forced them to crash. Dozens of Tauren's died and the vessel was beyond repair, forcing the survivors to venture out in search of shelter and food.   Many generations passed since their arrival. Some went out on their own and were never heard of again and the rest built settlements in the forests and on the shoreline.

History

Very few humanoids have ever seen a Minotaur even though they have been on Elios longer than any other race. The Dwarves of the Order of the Anvil are actually currently the only people that knows anything about them.

Ethnicities from the Tauren Race

Angelion

Angelion's come from the Islands of Aberdeen on Minoth.   They are almost always solid black in color, however they have been known to have a bit of white around their muzzle. In comparison to other Minotaurs, Angelion's have a moderate frame size, small upturned ears and a refined head.   Not only are they master tacticians in battle, but they are also some of the most accomplished blacksmiths of their species.

Pulangelion

Pulangelion's come from the Benevis Mountains on Minoth. Upon arriving on Elios, many of the Pulangelions migrated to a mountainous region that they the Benevis Mountain Range in homage to their long lost home.   They are red to reddish brown. They look identical to Angelions, with the exception of the coloration of their fur.   These are the master craftsmen of the race. Stone and lumber are the favorite materials to work with, but most are able to make anything out of any material if given the time.

Heirfort

They can range in color from rust brown to deep rich red body. Many have white on the face, crest and legs below the knee. They have moderate frames and horns that typically curve down the sides of their heads. The females of the species do not have horns and are typically slightly stocky and have broader heads.   Heirforts are the battle masters and foot soldiers.

Gallowain

The Gallowain's come from the harshest of environments on Minoth. Most prefer tropical and forest regions, but many rather live in colder climates. They can be found either black, red or dun colored sandwiched about a white middle. The females are hornless and both will grow a shaggy coat in colder climates. The Gallowain's are the natural leaders of the Tauren's and work hand in hand with tacticians of the Angelion's.

Hyscot

Hyscot's are primarily red in color, however black, yellow, dun, white and silver are all considered traditional colors. Although they have long hair, it is not shaggy or unkept looking. Their ears are medium in size and turned up and their horns average 2' in length.   Hyscot's serve mostly as teachers and parental figures.

Charolais

The Charolais come from the Charolles valley on Minoth and have renamed their new home to reflect. They range from white to cream in color and are medium to large in size. They are heavily muscled, grow quickly and mature slower than the other races. They have a pinkish muzzle and pale hooves. The males have very distinct horns with black tips and the females do not have horns.

Chianina

Chianina's mostly range from white to steel gray, but a few have been solid black or red. They have very large frames, with long legs. Their hair is short and their skin is black. They have a long straight face and short horns.   Most serve as guards to powerful leaders, however they also pursue craft trades as well.

Fleck V'ieh

Fleck V'ieh live in what is now called Shimme Valley, after their home on Minoth. Their colors range from yellowish brown to straw to dark red with white markings on their heads. Many have white patches over their entire body. They are very large in size and heavily muscled. Males have 3' horns and females have horns shorter than 6" on average.

Gelb V'ieh

Gelb V'ieh settled mostly in Bav N'aria, a coastal area in a temperate region of Elios. They range from red to yellowish red in color. They have dark skin pigmentation and their horns are generally half the size on average. They grow and mature quickly, are well muscled and reproduce more than most of their race.   Most spend their time in care of the young. All are master boatwrights, sailors and fishermen.

Bos Indicus

The Bos Indicus live mostly in the dry and arid regions of Elios. They vary in color from very light gray or red to black and some even look blue. They have a large hump above their shoulders and neck, large down-turned ears, long black to white horns and are large in size over-all. They have high heat tolerance and are insect and parasite resistant.
