The Keymaster and the Door
Hidden away in the Laerin Jungle is an ancient temple dedicated to the gods of Arheim, created shortly after the creation of the god Veil. In this temple is the Door, a set of concentric rings of stone with twelve holes in the shape of various keys in it. The Door, when opened with the seven Keys (leaving five slots open) and the Keyring (which is placed in the center of the Door, acting as the final concentric ring), grants one wish to the opener (with very few limits), redistributes the keys around Arheim, and destroys the Keyring.
Plot points/Scenes
Though this is technically a plot, the Keys are at the moment only sought after as magical items and not as true Keys. There are seven Keys in existence, each relating to a god in Arheim, with the exception of the Forgekey, which Ghael had created before the God Veil was put into place. Once the Explorer's Society finds the temple in Laerin Jungle and a suitable amount of time has passed information about the Keys' true nature may be found out by some of the owners of the Keys, which will prompt more active searches. None of them, however, will be able to collect all seven without the players' aid. The Keyring requires the group to find out the existence of Dossosun and find his high priest to summon the Keyring for them. Even if for some reason another faction managed to steal the seven Keys from the players, the Keyring is something that only they can acquire, giving them another chance.
Owning multiples increase the effects of all of the keys, but they share charges and each count as a separate attunement unless the Keyring is acquired.
