When he came was transported to this world he got recruited by Kieren. when the group decided which class they were going to be everyone said he should become a paladin. But he said that paladins were stupid, so he became a dark knight. Soon he got a bad reputation with the group because he harassed the girls of the group. but despite his difficult personality he quickly established himself as the second strongest of the group. And he had the approval of Kieren ,Maxime and Boris. But it all changed when the group encountered a new breed of goblins. They ran but to safety but when they were out of the ruined city. kieran collapsed he was struck by an arrow in the back and Maxime was gone. Ranta said that there was no time Kierens healing magic was already used. So they carried him to the temple but he was already death. They burned Kierens body so it can't turn undeath. After that he went to the brothels to drink his pain away because that day he lost two of his friends. Later that evening Boris and Arthur joined him and after a long conversation, they decided to look for another priest and maybe another knight. They recruited marry because someone Ranta knew recomended her. The next morning Maxime turned up again with a lot of money. He wasted no time mourning Kieren and he just said "Lets go I found another chest". They entered the city again and there were a lot of death goblins. but also the corpses of fellow adventurers when Arthur asked him who those people were he just said: "people that crossed me, now take there shit". everyone saw that there was no room for debating this so they looted the corpses. Marry acted very cold and distend and that annoyed Ranta.
after that, they earn enough money to take a day off. Rana went to town alone to buy a new helmet. Then he went fishing and then he suddenly saw Klaire she was making a walk Ranta called to her but she ignored him. He did not feel like fishing afterward and he went to dread fort to train.
when the group went to the bar she heard that the city was too dangerous so they decided to go to the cobalt mines. in the mines, he and maxime killed a few sleeping kobolds and they burned their fields together with Klaire. Maxime said they should set up camp for the entrance to the mines. And the group destroyed the stocks of the kobalt. When he saved shara he grabbed her ass and said " I saved your ass and now I grab it " .... he got slapped.

He has a close relationship with Ranta, though they often banter with each other . On multiple occasions Arthur tries to stop Ranta from doing things that are stupid, it shows that even though they do occasionally insult each other he really does care for Ranta. During the war he and Ranta fought constantly. Ranta was frustrated that Maxime didn't allow him to fight in the front lines. So he spended his time by annoying everyone. when maxime ranta brought to the front lines,Ranta was devastated. Arthur tried to comfort him. That was the first time he saw ranta emotional. Arthur became increasingly concerned about ranta. Ranta always had nightmares. He talked about it with maxime but maxime said he had warned him and that it is his own fault. He did not want to say what happened in the front lines. He gathered his courage and asked ranta what was happening and ranta told him everything about the raid on the small town. he did not know whether he should be angry with Ranta or feel sorry for him.

Ranta and Maxime always had a mutual understanding. Maxime was the only one who appreciates Ranta humor. Maxime and Ranta are the only two dark knights in the party. Maxime thinks that Ranta is as ruthless as he is. But Ranta isn't, Ranta has PTSD because what he and the dragon riders did. He also knows that Maxime isn't a shoulder to cry on.
