Structure

Currently, the Triumvirate is made up Of:

• Taenaris Aariutus of the Quintillius house with Isauricus Romar of the Saunio house as his Second

• Orientalis Castar of the Nectarida house with Ravilla Titus of the Ursus house as her second

• And Aemilius Venatur of the Tertullian house with Otho of the Panthera house as his second.

Every fifteen years a vote is held across Atria in order to elect the members of the Triumvirate into their seats. Each citizen gets one vote once they reach adulthood for their various races.

Culture

At Atrias core rests the believe of Justice and Honour. While some view this feeling from the outside as simply antiquated. But to the people who have lived, seen the rather safe cities and main roads, and cant help but agree that the culture of helpfullness along with the always open ability to approach those who can provide aid allows for a culture of togetherness, of offering hands when they are needed and being ready to back up what you say with words, actions or coin.

Public Agenda

The Triumvirates goals is the spread of justice and firm but fair law. Each of the Families work toward this goal in their own ways.
They wish to see the Khanate to the south pushed back, and the lands made safe for all the citizens of the region.

Assets

The Mines
The mountain ranges to the east and west of Atria are considered the wealthiest mines of Iron, Copper and Silver on both Continants. While much of it is sent to the forges to be refined and turned into weapons, tools and other devices for the people. Quite a notible amount is sent to Durradin, where the Dwarves make good use of the excellent quality Iron and Silver. Some of there exports make it all the way to Longreech, where Kings, Queens and various other high nobles praise the quality of goods made from the Silver of the Triumvirate.
Far north, the city of Dragonspire Castle their is a massive Cold Iron mine, providing large quanities of refined cold iron to the entire world. The Majority of Cold Iron comes from Castle Dragonspire.

The Fields

The plains that make up the middle valley of the region of Atria are exceptionally fertile. The farmers here grow plentiful bounties with blessings given to the ground they had earned. Wheat, Hops and hardy Maze grow. While to the south toward the boarder with the Khanate, fruit trees such as Banannas, Cherries and varous Berrys all grow in this lush section fo Atria, while the Tundra and Glacial north tip provide some interesting herbal remedys and ingrediants for potions. The Desert to the west is considered a barren land by most, but it is a provider of several important spices that are traded.

The Forests

While the northern forests were quickly de-forested for the requirment of a navy and trade fleet, Atria is still lush with trees of various types, mostly tropical and semi-tropical woods that are exported to castles or manors of other kingdoms. But rarely is more taken than needed. The forests hold many blessings and old battlefields so it is best that they do not be disturbed.

The Mounts

It is believed that the Iroran Vala (or just Vala) originated from the forest to the south and the desert to the east were supposed to be used by the Tyrant. But after some very brave souls began to tame this magnificent, terrifying and loyal beasts the formation of a interesting trade and military implication. The Vala breed slowly and are difficult to replace, but there hardiness, strength and long lividness make them the perfect elite mount. While not many have ever been traded away, the few that have been are noted as being truely formidable on the field of battle.

History

Atria has been run by The Three families as long as even the most ancient of Dragons remember but it wasn't always a free haven of the Dragons as they like to mention. Two Millennia ago the region of Atria was dominated by a commander of Tiamut. Their name long struck from memory and history as to give them the death they deserved. The Tyrant as they are known used the region of Atria as a staging, training and army producing ground for the War in the Heavens. Though with people come dissent, with dissent comes hope. That hope was lead by three families who under the Tyrant suffered and had to sacrifice their beloved sons and daughters to Tiamuts armies. They formed a Triumvirate, the three largest families led a grand rebellion against The Tyrant and their army in order to find freedom. While the war seemed lost, due to The Tyrant's superior cohesion and leadership at the base level. But when all hope seemed lost, Bahamuts knights arrived to provide aid. The knights introduced a level of discipline to the rank and file. The soldiers of the Triumvirate lead a furious charge against the Tyrant. With Obotus of the Steel Dragons, Rieam of the Gold Dragons and Scribonia of the Blue Dragons being the leaders of the houses who started the rebellions, they found themselves at the head of the final assault on The Tyrants stronghold. With the three of them, their armies and the aid of Bahamuts knights, the Tyrant was brought down by the combined strength of the Triumvirates leaders.

Atria became a land of peace, at least internally with the border to the waste to the south a heavily militarised area. The people of the Triumvirate learned of Fairness, Justice and Freedom as the Dragon-Knights spread the faith of Bahamut, The Platinum Dragon along with their influence. With Diplomacy, Treaties and Steel when required The Triumvirate carved themselves a wealth of land all the way to the ocean. With Mountains to the east and west, Atria had settled themselves. They were no longer under threat and due to that the Triumvirate had completed what they set out to do. Now they had to rule the kingdom they had made. But how they would do it would make Bahamut proud and supposedly it did. When the group agreed to continue the Triumvirate as a ruling Republic. The three seats would be voted on by the people with the candidate in second taking a representative role.
After the death of the Original members of the Triumvirate, it is believed that Bahamut himself welcomed them to his Castle in Mount Celeste. Where the three are said to still watch over Atria to this very day.

Military

A lot of Atrias armies are armed and armoured exceptionally well. With well trained regiments of men-at-arms, spearmen and archers that are trained in tactical movement, understanding the ability to bend and flow with combat but never break.
They rather often have a large fixed armies near towns that experiance large influxes of beasts, bandits and sometimes even small skirmishing raides from the Khanate.

Religion

Bahamutian is the primary faith in Atria. With many smaller sects of other gods, such as Lathander and Palour, with some of the other gods such as Tymora, Mystra, Melora and Moradin making up much smaller sects of the faithful.
One of the other larger faiths of note is King-That-Never-Was. With a large Human population the faith has grown solid in the kingdom and has almost allied relationship with the faith of Bahamut. Though it is believed that Lathandorians and Bahamutians have a almost brotherly bond as well, due to the similar faiths that their respective gods have.
