Cultural association with elements

This is a page surrounding the way law and media associate different elements with items, symbols, or colours.

Naming Traditions

Family names

The last name is usually a word to do with their element in one of the seven languages of the ancient Elemage tribes (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Maori or Corsican) of the mage's heritage, for example, a Healing mage with Dutch ancestry might have the last name Helend (Helend is Dutch for medic) or a Ice mage with Corsican ancestry might have the last name Fretu (Fretu is Corsican for cold).

Other names

All babies are assigned a two-syllable first name in a month or younger, which is chosen by their parents or guardians. This usually doesn't have a correlation with their element, but it can. (For example, an Electricity Elemage could be named Raiden, which means powerful thunder, or a Magic mage could be Bruxo, which meaning wizard.
