The Eletheri

A land, mostly ordinary, but with dragons, fierce cats, and a terrible lack of wheels, steeds, and hard metals. Rather mountainous too, with jungles and slippery paths, stepped gardens and agile livestock.

Geography

Short, fertile coastline on the west. A few dryer patches along it. Then rugged, jungle country further in that slowly turn to mountains that are treacherous to those not familiar with them, the mountains eventually give way to wide sweeping plains, with the occasional forest or jungle patch. The plains have a few river and are rich in aquifers. Beyond the expanse of the plains, lies another ocean, though no one in the west has ever met anyone who can confirm the plains do not go on forever. And few have even seen that the plains, or their own ocean exists.
In the north, the jungle continues on the east of the mountains, and for all the information that can be found in the south, it seems to go on forever.

Fauna & Flora

The are large area of rain forest, full of ferns, vines, tall trees and mosses. The animal kingdom is diverse. Kinds number towards the thousands. Birds of all kinds are spoken of,and samll and large creatures run about. Some are wild, fearsome and fantastical, though not so fearsome that the locals will speak of them. I saw great cats with sharp claws, and small winged reptiles. I also saw creatures like long necked sheep, and like woolly goats.

Natural Resources

There is a vast variety of resources. In the plains, and some part of the jungle, timber is scarce. Stone also is hard to find in the plains, but plentiful elsewhere. What we would call precious metals, are found at quite a good rate, but harder metals are extremely rare. Many kinds of food plants are grown, also plants for fibers,and dyes and there is an abundance of creatures for wool and leather.
