The hand of the gods is said to be the key of Atalyn's power. Of course, there are other relics out there people claim to do the same thing. In truth, this staff is in a way a key. It is capable of determining the composition of magical energy in an area, making it a useful tool to find areas of power. The orb mounted atop the staff glows with a rainbow of lights aligning to the composition around it when one knows how to activate it. The art has long since been lost.

Mechanics & Inner Workings

The staff is constructed of various precious metals and stones. The core of the length of the staff comprises of two long rods of gold and silver, twined around in a twisted pattern before branching into thin tendrils cupping the main focus of the staff. The twined metal is covered by a layer of crystaline clear glass to create a smooth cylinder more pleasing to the hand. The main focus of the staff is a frosted orb, each of the quarters is a different color, each known to be associated with an ancient deity. Swirls of secondary color can be seen within the crystal. The main colors found are Red, Orange, Blue, and a bright near white Green. The secondary colors are Purple, near white Blue, Brown, and dark Green.

Significance

An ancient relic belonging to the fallen utopia of Atalyn. It's purpose has been lost to history, but many speculate it is the key to the great power that the city once wielded.
