History
The Churada was founded by D'von Marquis Alan after he was expelled from the Tiger's Eye Trading Company for violating their morals and ethics. Like minded individuals and others expelled from the trading company to join D'von. His cargo first focused on directly competing with the Tiger's Eye, buying low quality goods in bulk and selling them at lower prices than the Tiger's Eye. This worked with the common people, but not the nobility who favored quality over affordability.
Lacking the quality goods the Tiger's Eye had, D'von hired pirate fleets to attack and steal shipments from the Tiger's Eye. The Churada sold the pirated goods at a higher price, citing the difficulty getting them in the market now due to the uptick in piracy. Unique items produced by the Tiger's Eye were not sold and instead kept in attempts to reverse engineer and produce on their own, using lesser quality materials, making them cheaper to access.
During the last days before D'von's retirement, he added a new item to the trade docket; slaves. He commissioned a slaver from Sveldvar to modify the magic inhibiting collars of the nation to enforce a masters will on slaves. Over the years, the practice of enslavement became more pronounced in the kingdoms and more lucrative. The Churada became a prime shipper of slaves, their growing fleet constantly bringing back exotic beauties from the East. Their expeditions to the East allowed them to tarnish the Tiger's Eye name, making it harder for the rival company to get a foot hold in the Eastern markets. However, The Charuda have given up any semblance of innovation in favor of profit.
