The planes of Elderforge is structured as a 'World Tree'. The tree's bark and inner is made up of the elemental planes of fire, water, air, and earth. Within the center of this mass of elemental energy sits the material plane, or the physical world of Elderforge. Stacked on top of the material world is the mirror dimension of the Feywild, and underneath it is the other mirror dimension of Shadowfell. The tree splits into various twisting roots underneath Shadowfell, and these planes that exist in the 'roots' are known as the Lower Planes. Meanwhile the realms within the tall branches of the tree are known as the Upper Planes. Some lower planes include the Abyss, the Nine Hells/Shadowhell, Gehenna, and Hades. Some upper planes include Mt. Celestia, Ysgard, Mechanus, and the Beastlands. The 'lifeblood' or connecting force of everything within the tree is the Ethereal Plane, and the void that surrounds the tree is the Astral Plane.
