Artist's Ledge

The Artist's Ledge is a small cliff beyond a short cave system, reaching across the Upper Camiten Stream providing a well known spot for artisitical presentations. The Ledge is sourrounded by several rock formations, which create a great acoustic effect for any listener on the other side of the river.   The structure has inspired the general architecture of theaters in Caramiza, giving most artists two stages to perform on - the lower area for dances and presentation, the upper for singing and recitation.   The artist's ledge has been one of the places, where Apac reportedly spoke to his followers, teaching them the way of the kings and leadership. Additionally, several famous poets and singers have performed here.   Still, the ledge has some dark history to it as well. Many unsucsessful or disheartened artists have thrown themselves off the ledge into the river, to quite literally drown their sorrows away.   One legendary performance of "Of the Death of Evil" shocked its audience, when the famous lead tenor depicting the evil god ended his performance by a final jump down the ledge -making this his greatest and ultimatively last performance.
