The War of Feso-cali Defense
Before the official formation of Unyct, there was a growing nation called Sarashia, named for the ruling family. Sarashia's armies were on a conquest streak, taking control of territories covering most of the continent. Two small bordering nations, Ataica and Feso-cal, ally together as the Sarashia threat grew stronger.
The Conflict
Prelude
The Sarashia army is conquering lands at an alarming rate. The only thing standing between Sarashia and it's goal of manifest destiny are the tribal nations within Feso-cali and Ataican lands. As the army reaches the start of Feso-cali territory, they fall into a stalemate. Sarashia has underestimated the alliance between Ataica and Feso-cal, as well as the fighting ability of both nations.
Deployment
After calling in some backup, Sarashia sends in assassins to kill top political leaders of Feso-cal. In their success, they kill four warriors and a leader, and Ataica reacts quickly. An Ataican warrior named Subaya takes a leading position of Feso-cal, and works to protect their lands and people.
Subaya sends in fighters to tamper with common battlefields and the weapons of nearby Sarashia forces. Using silence spells and with small tampering groups, Feso-cali and Ataican forces manage to slip past Sarashia sights, and set magically concealed traps around their camps and in their weapon stocks.
The battles only last for seven weeks, and each side pushes the severity of magic use in battle. They use anything from burning blades to seeking arrows, and blinding light or stillness spells. It finally ends when a small group of Feso-cali and Ataican warriors manage to cut off the leader of the Sarashia forces in the area, Zaitalas Sarashia. Zaitalas's loss and the resilience of the allied nations is enough to make Sarashia reconsider, and refocus their attacks elsewhere.
