Summary

A sprawling epic from the 3rd Cycle about the wars that ravaged the continent of Liat before Cosmere Nestorius’ conquest. Elven and human kingdoms feuded with each other for well over a century, with a noble clan of dragonborn fighters tilting the balance of the conflict in favor of the elves. The story has a cast of hundreds and numbers in the thousands of pages, but at the epic’s core is a story of forbidden love between a human princess and an elven lord. The two of them die in the Battle of the Amber Planes in 2584, 3rd Cycle, their heartbroken parents signing a bitter truce in the final chapters.
