Lando Hainaut

A dark elf man and member of House Hainaut through marriage to Saskia Hainaut. Born to a lower-class family of talented rangers known for risking life and limb to survey the The Underdark, Lando showed zero interest in joining the family business and preferred the comfort of a well-stocked library. He was one of Saskia's many suitors back in the 600's, but he proved to be the only one that could tolerate her pranks and petty intrigues. Somehow, their marriage has lasted for three centuries.
In 901 he was one of the primary author of the Treaty of Rel-Kadrar that put an end to four centuries of conflict between the kingdoms of Rakka and the Verschow. To this day scholars have analyzed his work on the treaty for its succinctness and clarity of purpose. Lando is currently working on a nine-volume history of the Elflands' political, expected to be completed sometime in the 4th Cycle's twelfth century.
