After his wife's passing nearly a century ago he chose to lead the family without allowing one of his daughters to take the throne, his mastery over evocation spells silencing even the fiercest critics. For decades his family was allied with House Baudissin, but in the early months of 901 he was convinced by Lachesis Hainaut to stay neutral during House Hainaut's putsch against Baudissin hegemony. When the Hainauts defeated Sariel Baudissin and signed the Treaty of Rel-Kadrar with Rakka, Jeremias' family benefited handsomely from lucrative arms deals selling their evocations magics to the Rakkan military.
