Arnulf Hainaut

A dark elf man and member of House Hainautin the Verschow. The youngest son of Matriarch Marwen Hainaut, he showed little interest in Verschow politics and spent much of his youth exploring the wilderness of the Underdark. He became a talented ranger, spending as little time in Dromire as possible.
He journeyed with the adventuring group Dark Souls in 901 on their mission to rescue Marwen from a camp of illithids, forming a close relationship with the warlock Nineveh Isolde. When he was killed by the devil Naberius, Nineveh's patron the Lady of the Lake agreed to revive him to have another mortal deliver magic items for her. He awoke in a pool of water on the outskirts of Dromire with a luminous hand crossbow, intended for someone 'deserving of its bolts and judgment'.
The two of them traveled throughout Pescaliat in a semi-platonic relationship, ever on the lookout for individuals worthy of the Lady's gifts. They were last spotted in Despero in 921 delivering a rose-colored spear to members of the Fortunate Five.
