Personal history

I was born in a small port town and spent most of my time watching the ships come and go. Never knowing my parents but was raised by friends of my father in the aristocratic Aymeri House. Shortly after my 22nd birthday, I was asked to aid Calhar Rilynnzea, a family friend of the Aymeri's. The whole way there I had a feeling of dread, I'm not even sure how to explain it, just a feeling like something wasn't right. We got to Calhar's manor and after 3 days of hearing and seeing no one, I was summoned to a room. I was then forced to read something, to which a voice answered back. After a conversation a pact was formed. With my new powers, I burned Calhar alive and his manor to the ground, not even caring who else might have been in the home. Upon realizing what I had done, I fled, finding myself in the Underdark.     While in the Underdark she met a group of adventurers’ and accompanied them on their journey. When they encountered one of the new "leaders" down there her and Al, one of the other party members fled. This led to her falling 120ft and nearly breaking every bone in her body on impact. They both took a few months to recover and felt bad about leaving the other members behind, but they both believed there was nothing they could do. If they had stayed, they'd both be dead along with them.     They soon found themselves meeting up with new faces and formed another party with these creatures. A mousefolk cleric named Hawkwheet and a half-orc barbarian named Dun Hud. We decided it was best to try and stop this necrotic shadow from spreading on this plane, which started not far from the town we were at. We sound found ourselves, with the assistance of Larissa, in the Shadowfell via a portal. Some of us experienced visions and those visions became a reality for everyone to see while in the Shadowfell. We also met a human wizard named Inara there. She was a bit odd and "off”, but we invited her to join us. We discovered several diary entries by a Melana Beltas who was going by Ziggeh Iuveghki a follower of the Whispered King. I also picked up, before leaving the Shadowfell, an artifact item that was known as the Crown of Night that is an artifact of illusion magic.     The group was summoned, upon getting back to Amberkeep, by the King of Stonefort, a town to the north. They decided to hire a wagon and driver, named Fredrick, and began that journey. Over the course of weeks, I developed a romantic relationship with Fredrick, as well as an interesting relationship with the Crown of Night and I had many conversations with it. The Crown decides to hide itself for 14 days and I had 14 days to find a missing gem piece from it.     The next day we all set off again and when passing Bastion, I had Fredrick stop and got off the wagon and went inside. Al and Hawk following me as Dun and Inara stay with the wagon. We made their way down more and more and after crossing a certain point, realizing that every time they cast a spell, they take damage. I began to get worried when we arrived at a certain part where we would have to get inside a cage to go down. Attempting to go back upstairs again, but the strong gusts of wind prevented me from leaving. My party members finally ended up dragging me to the cage and we made our way down.     Upon entering the final room, a voice can be heard from the inside of a locked enclosure. It asks for help and asks to be let out. There is also a chest near this “person’s” enclosure a locked one. They try getting the chest open but to no avail. I then get the brilliant idea of freeing this ‘person’ After letting him out and he notices the Crown on my head, he grabs me and stabs me, and we all begin the fight. It is revealed that he is a vampire named Y’mirul the Blood Drinker and an old one at that, we defeat him, and he flees as a misty form. The chest becomes unlocked and upon opening it a gem is inside which is for the Crown of Night and I place it in the missing slot, waking it up. It is very happy with its recovered gem piece and teleports us out of the room we are in and onto the entrance of the Grey Bastion     We meet up with Fredrick and Dun again and continued on the journey. I overhear Dun talking to Al about taking the Crown, Al said something along the lines of “you know she can hear us right?” This caused me to panic and quickly shapeshift into my cat form. Sitting on Fredrick’s lap for the rest of that day, fear and anger building up inside me. Night was coming so we stopped at a farmhouse that was just a little out from Stonefort and if it weren’t for the snow, we would have been able to see it from there. They talked to the house owner and after some persuasion they were told they could stay in the small building next to the house. I remained in my cat form and slept while the others did as well, Dun took first watch then Inara. While Inara was taking watch, I was awakened by someone or something making a move to grab my collar from my neck. Waking up and determining it to be an elf male, but he went through the window to escape. I used Mislead to chase him but wasn’t able to find him. Seeing Inara and the conversation turned into catnapers and perverts.     In the morning the group continued its journey. While I was pretending to be reading, I had a conversation with the Crown of Night. Asking for it to hide itself from everyone, not just the guards but my travelling companions as well. It is confused by this request but still complied with it. Spotting the outline of Stonefort, the city, for the first time I was amazed at the site. Spending some time trying to talk to Fredrick, but his responses and all seem like he’s just happy to leave and go on his merry way once they get there. Hurt by this realization she goes inside the wagon and begins writing a letter. My expression growing sadder and angrier with each stroke of the pen as the betrayal I felt is becoming greater.     Finishing the letter and placing it in my bag as a male elf child hops on the back of the wagon and peers inside. Realizing that he was hungry I gave him five silver coins and in return he says, “the Signet watch over you and your help” as well as giving me a small wooden carved fox. After this, other children try to hop on the back of the wagon each holding out their hands. A male elf by the name of Rolde Faringray comes up and gets the children off the wagon and tells us that their families aren’t allowed in the city. He also said that the Signet isn’t perfect, but they are safe and upon pulling up his sleeve he shows us a red tattoo of a fox face. Rolde then asked if we had a name for our group and we tell him we are known as the ‘Watchers of Clarity’. We stop in front of one of the inns in the Tiller’s Village where I again try to speak with Fredrick but felt blown off making me angrier and more upset.     That night in the inn, I just grew more and more upset. Getting a room key for myself and purchased some more I went to my room the rest of the night. There I wrote another letter for Fredrick, though this one was different from the first. Once finished, I left my room and found Fredrick entering the inn just as everyone else is going to bed for the night. Going over to him and asks if I can have a moment to which he follows me outside and we have a talk which ends on a better note. Saying goodnight to each other, I go to my room, burning both the letters with a candle in the room. After the letters are burned her patron appears to her with a task. The task of killing the Archdruid as well as destroying the sacred tree in Stonefort. As there isn't a time limit to this, I agree to do it.     Upon waking and heading downstairs they decide today they will enter the city. Saying goodbye to Fredrick as he lets us all know he’ll be staying at the Salty Dingy in the Draftwinds. Al, Hawk, and I make our way to the gate, where we have no issues checking in. Showing them the letter that I have. I also hear about the tree and the druid area after the guard takes one look at Al. At first, I find it hard to believe a tree that size could be in such a place but upon entering the city I see it.     We made our way to see the King stopping every so often to take in the sites and talk to the occasional vendor. I would’ve liked to shop for somethings, but Hawk told me, “no we should see the king first.” Somewhere in all the talking while walking we make a change in our plans and decide upon going to the Mythic Arcanum Sanctum first instead. Upon entering the building, we see a male high elf. He informs the us that in order to have a chance at being allowed magical access in the city/country we should go and investigate things occurring in the undercity. People have gone missing and the one that came back, they had to kill because he was insane with whatever he saw down there. We obtain permission to use magic to help them with anything they might encounter but the timer is 2 days. This causes us to put off meeting and speaking with the king and proceed on this little quest.     Making our way into the undercity via the aqueduct and we got yelled at by someone for even trying to get in this way. We end up talking to a few goblins that tell us of Lucen and how they are able to avoid being killed by him. Al detects that the goblin is telling the truth but possibly leaving things out. The goblin points in the direction that Lucen could be found and we proceed that way. I end up discovering blood on the walls and we follow it. Eventually finding Lucen, who is a gibbering mouther, and Hawkwheet is knocked out. Al is killed. I end up getting knocked out as well. In this process I reach out to my patron for assistance, to which it comes. Lucen is defeated and Hawk is able to revive Al without many issues.     Heading back to the Mythic Arcanum and learning that we were just set up to do a job with no real promise of anything. However, I still decide to take their test in order to join their guild. The Crown helps me with this task, and I am accepted purchasing a room in the building. The following day Hawk, Al, Inara, and I make our way to see the King. On the way we encounter Dun and he informs us that he is wanted for crimes in this town. Al changes him into a dog and we continue on our way to the Castle.     Unable to speak with the king we undertake another quest to figure out what is going on in part of the city, why a giant sinkhole just happened to appear. Also, should we go down inside it, anything we find must be returned. After Al, Hawk, and Inara make their way out, I send a message to one of the guards telling them, "the orc you're looking for is the dog" and leaves, never to see Dun Hud again. I then go visit Fredrick asking him to move into my small apartment because it's safer. Kissing him with the promise of returning soon.     Our party makes its way down the sinkhole. Using the Crown to "help" by making everything in the sinkhole vanish, this causes us to fall the rest of the way down, didn’t think he would do that. Luckily someone can cast a spell, so we get down safely. Once, at the bottom, we discover there's a laboratory down here finding various notes dealing with "experiments" Upon asking the Crown to remove any possible illusions in the area and we are faced with something known as Subject 21. After a long and creepy fight, we defeat her, but we see no way out of this room they are now trapped in. I ask for the Crowns assistance in teleporting all of them out.     A pressure grows in in my mind, causing me to fall to the ground screaming in pain. Unknown to the others, I find myself talking to the Crown. Telling me something is wrong; something is very wrong. As it speaks my patron appears, having the realization that I process the artifact. Demanding that I just hand it I refuse. This results in an altercation which my warlock powers are revoked and the Crown horribly damaged. In a brief and desperate moment, to keep the Crown in existence, I let it bind itself to me, becoming one with me, granting me new abilities and powers. Coming to consciousness in the room, where the other party members are seconds before the devil, her former patron, appears. After a long and close fight, we force him to retreat back to Hell.     Finding our way out of the room and going down several hallways till we come to a room. Meeting Rolde Faningrey, again, and Delma who are members of a covert group called the Whitestriders. We are told if we join, they can help with the Crown, keeping the Crown safe, and gain access to all the Whitestider's resources, demi-planes, and missions. I join without hesitation as I will not, under any circumstances, part with the Crown of Night.     Arriving at the demi-plane and meeting the other members and leader. We find out their mission is to find all the artifacts that are called the Points of Power. Each one belonging to a school of magic. They are collecting them to keep them out of the hands of those that would use them for evil. Our group is then sent to the Eya Aethel, a swamp, to recover the Aegis Amulet. Arriving and immediately forced into combat with several demons. We meet Revan a shadar-kai and he and my personalities kind of clash. Prompting me to leave taking Al with me. On the demi-plane, Al and I are told of the Sleeping Basin and how the waters aren't acting right around there, and the creatures are becoming more hostile. We leave to go scout and see what's going on there.     Stopping in Amberkeep to get some supplies we find the high elf Jenkins is back in his enchanting shop. After conversation he informs us that some of his greatest friends and powerful friends are dead and their souls are annihilated. Begging Jenkins to join the Whitestriders, as he received his letter months ago for recruitment, he agrees to talk to Beckett. Al and I continue for the Basin. Finding our way to an underwater city and Al's old friend Nena greets him. Informing us that the creatures have become more hostile and a riot in the city has also begun, led by Morys Vingruuth. We decide to venture out to see if we can find what is causing this problem in the area and Morys accompanies us. Encountering some humanoids, we fight our way through. Afterwards the Crown speaks to me, telling me something is wrong with the whole situation, asking me to go back. Al refuses to go so I sadly return by myself. Teleporting into the Demi-plane where I find Scorn, the paladin, and Beckett. Trying to tell them about Al and the situation down there. Scorn seems deadpanned and uncaring. Beckett insists that the amulet is the priority. I go with Scorn to the Swamp but want to finish this mission as quickly as possible.     After finding my other party members and getting filled in with what has been going on in the swamp, we all head back to the village. Acting on a premonition from the crown, I speak with Halimath and catches up with Revan who is also makes his way to the Canopy. Learning about the old Halls of the Dead after researching with Lorelei, Revan and I make our way beneath the Canopy and search for this hidden threat. Shortly after, Al returns and together we discover a chamber behind one of the walls of the burial place of a group called the Heart. Moving further beyond and down a hidden set of stairs we find a moderately sized room with a glowing gem and many dragon eggs that seem corrupted by whatever is leaking in. After taking the gem and removing the draconic threat we return and head for Celedor's cottage to the west.     Meeting with the alchemist again we get Celedor to come out of his house and attempt to assassinate him. However, we fall into a trap that detonates the home, killing the alchemist and finding out that the figure of Celedor was an illusion the whole time. Preparing ourselves we get ready for the ritual meeting up with the Matron, Felren and Ilren outside of Blackrim with 2 town guards in tow. As the demonic and undead hordes fall upon us, fireballs, lightning and powerful strikes removing many of the foes and eventually beheading Celedor. As the figure now headless turns around, worms are seen crawling out and it points to the large pustule and pulls the swarms to itself into the form of the Envoy of the King. Attempting to get the remaining necklaces it conjures powerful black tentacles, and immolates Eda, a sorcerer, to ash. Our group manages to knock the Envoy to the ground and deliver a barrage of powerful strikes. Forcing it to plane shift to escape and forcing it to leave the necklace behind. Our party acquires bits of the fallen creatures as well as the sealed point of power, the Aegis Amulet.     Al and I return to the Whitestrider plane with the amulet handing it over to Beckett. The rest of the party joins shortly after and Revan is invited to join the Whitestriders. We are told that we can take a few months break to while more information is gathered on the next Point of Power. I return home finding Fredrick still living in my apartment and that he's joined the Arcanum. During the rest of the break I learn a few new skills and find out Jenkins did join the Whitestriders.     Going to him for help on matters of getting my contract devolved so that my soul isn't at risk any longer. Jenkins tells me the things I need to do. I had plans on asking the group for help; however, a certain turn of events occur. Causing them to leave on a mission without me I head to Deepgate, to see if I can make any headway on finding Rolde Faringrey.

What do I do?
24 Tarsakh 362 (Before the Fight)

So somehow we're able to be in this field where time stops for those outside it. Not sure how Beckett did it, must be some spell he's acquired. Watching all them as they sleep peacefully and they don't see it, they never see it. I can't fight but I can't run. To run where I need to go I apparently need all the items. They won't agree to it though, but he promised me. They'll never understand that I need to get out of this reality, it's the only way both contracts can be dealt with. I don't know what to do. They tell me I can run but I don't think they understand, they never understand. I don't know if Meniscus will keep his word but if I can get to a different reality and prevent disaster from occurring... It's a chance. As it stands now if I stay here, I'll never have the luxury of freedom... The luxury of caring about anyone or anything. They won't understand. If I had more time, I could have tried to get everyone to work together...   This world is over... They just don't see that... They don't see that I'm just becoming nothing

Never Ending...
23 Tarsakh 362

For a few days now we've had this never ending battle at Stonefort. Trying to help the city that has almost killed us over and over. The people didn't even know they were being ruled by a monster. The warforged invasion seemingly never-ending. Apparently that foolish shadar-kai was wrong about his "lich" too, I guess he's been working for an ancient vampire this whole time. Upon seeing his army of undead and then the warforged it led me to some mistakes, ones that can and will be corrected. There is one thing though I am finding as of late. I'm not wanting the nights to end. I want my fun before the pointless fighting. Life should be enjoyed after all, between the moments of misery, right...

I Know it was Real
20 Tarsakh 362

So many things in that Spire, I know most of them were illusions but that last one, it had to be real. It would explain so much if it was. The question becomes though, how long has Jin either been dead and being impersonated or how long has he been betraying us. I don't know which one it is but I know the entire organization of the White Striders has been compromised and yet I don't think anyone truly understands how severe it is. With all the chaos in the world right now, it might be too late before they realize how bad everything is.   Warforged going everywhere, Stonefort well it might as well be gone, and Meniscus raising up his army of dead... Of course they'd all not pay attention to the matters right under their noses.   Yet with all that is going on, all the problems in this world, I don't think anyone understands what I need to do. I wonder if they would even help... I had forgotten until the Spire, thought I would be okay, but I don't want to end up there....

What were they thinking?
17 Tarsakh 362

I shouldn't have shown them... I shouldn't have shown them what they really look like then maybe they would still be here. I don't know what their purpose was, never got to find out. They wanted that damn Lich Follower to talk to the Guardian of Illusion, why, why would they even think that's a good idea. Especially when I'm the one that is the Catalyst to it. What were they thinking?   No surprise he failed and then preceded to attack them. Al and myself were the only ones trying to use our items on them. Al succeeded, embarrassingly enough, I failed. That failure led to it's slaughter. Everyone attacked it, I shouldn't have let them know it was in that barrier that Etcher used on it. Then maybe it could have been spared. Maybe I have been a fool to trust them all, i don't know though...   What were they thinking? Do they even have a clue of what we're doing here? Do they just plan on slaughtering everything they come across? I will at least fix my part in this with the Crown of Night's help, away from the fools and slaughterers.

Writing on the Stone Slab
18 Tarsakh 362

After opening the locked box that we found there was a small jagged fragment of a stone slab. The inscription was mostly clear, however, a few parts were hard to make out   The Light had always been \\\ All the rays eminating from the bright star Life, death, physical, ethereal, arcane, gods, arcane, time, thought, dreams. The Light was one, leading all to its light.   Beware the \\\\\\ that would seperate it The bright star \\\ darkened \\\ six and one For the King will create much to devour \\\ grow Monster, now god, a creature of cruel apathy Hunting for all and craving its hidden empathy   Trapped where none \\\\\ \\ the lost god king

Well That Didn't Go as Planned
17 Tarsakh 362

(At this time she still has no memory of her Deepgate Incident)   Since Etcher kept insisting on finding out what this "Nexus" thing is we decided to all go to Deepgate, since apparently that's where this thing is. Entering the Eastern Spire we made our way, it was somewhat easy despite a few complications of rooms closing up. Etcher decided to plug himself into the wires that were just hanging around, smart move on his part. Anyways he ended up shutting down for a bit. --------------------------------------------------------------- Since no one really knew what to do and we were all just kind of waiting around anyways, the Crown decided to let me know that we've been here before. He was certain that it was familiar to him but the constructs weren't here before. He told me that there was lots of running and destruction along with desperation and he figures it was before this cycle.   The Crown also informed me of something I was not aware of, apparently no one was really aware of... When I became the Catalyst, originally, it required me to give some of myself to create it, enough so it can remain stable and not collapse in it's own newfound sentience. He continued that most of the Catalysts gave up parts they didn't really like. However, when I created the Crown, I gave up good and bad parts so the Crown has more of a balance. I begged for him to tell me what I gave up, what memories he had that I no longer did. Unfortunately he wouldn't tell me anything but it was likely things I was focusing on at the time.   He went on to talk about Jin and Srir (Srot). Before Jin was seeing spells differently and trying to formulate them. apparently we were gods in his eyes and his smugness took hold after quickly learning and his view that science is still more impressive than manipulating things we don't even care to understand.   My surprise came at the Crowns mention of these two and I wanted to know if I was missing anything dealing with either of them. The Crown said that both Jin and Srir were facinated with the arcane but rather than despising it, Srir embraced it, causing the two brothers to have several large disagreements that nearly resulting in killing everyone from their lack of control until Srir was told to leave. With his spiteful dismissal, Srir ravaged entire countries and deemed himself king. So we made a truce to respect each others territory. After he managed to tether himself, he was pulled with us when we left. The Crown believes that while Srir might have hated Beckett, he still held respect for us as colleagues.   ----------------------------------------------------------- I tried to let the group know some of this, but they were kind of focused on getting Etcher "turned on again" After several horrible attempts the poor Warforged lost his head, due to we'll say 'electrical failure' or lightening spells. I guess though Hawkwheat was able to talk to Etcher in some way, must be a cleric thing or something. I guess with this Etcher told Hawk to not activate the Nexus but to turn on the Spires.   So with that we went upstairs and after some difficulties and a series of unfortunate events, well... we activated the Spire. Though upon doing this, every single Warforged in the place woke up. Now they're all headed who knows where.   Exiting the Spire we met up with a Fellow Whitestrider Member, Rohese. She informed us all that Kildan was killed at the Whitestriders Head Quarters. She also said that Namir Mirau usurped control of Stonefort. Upon hearing this news, I returned to the Head Quarters, telling the group I would be back.

More then I thought

Returning to the Whitestrider Head Quarters, seeing the events that had laid out there. In talking with Beckett I wondered why he suspected Delma. Then I came to find out I had some memories erased. Upon getting those back, well I guess I'm still dealing with it.   Speaking with Delma, it's clear that if she was the culprit she also had a chance to take me out, she didn't. She still didn't need to throw that knife at me, but I figure if she wanted to hit she would have. Still doesn't mean she's anything but far from screwed up. Talking about things she doesn't know anything about. She's wrong, I never wanted to be the "hero" I was only trying to explain what happened...   At least though I was able to get to Stonefort in time to get Frederick and Hatea out. Hopefully they stay safe and on the down low. Stonefort seems to be getting worse with "recruiting" people for their army. Tried to warn them about the Warforge but who knows if that Captain believed me.   I think when Jenkins brought my memories of what happened in Deepgate and Rolde and everything, something else was shown to me. Fragments here and there.   If these memories are true we could be in a lot more trouble....

Is He Really this Stupid?!

That foolish arrogant Shadar kai. He summoned that Lich in Beckett's office. He continues to be reckless not caring about anything but this power it gives him. What is wrong with this guy, anyone with any sort of intelligence could see that the Lich is just going to use him and/or kill him. Maybe that's what Revan wants though. I didn't think it possible and I'm shocked that I'm even thinking this, but perhaps, at this rate, Revan is actually worse than that asshole Jin.

Returning Home to Selathyr
12 of Tarsakh

I must admit I was worried on returning. I hadn't been back there in awhile and when I left, it wasn't a pleasant goodbye. I couldn't even say goodbye to the family that took me in....   After spending a week in Stonefort, I decided I wanted to get a bit further away from things. Clear my head maybe have some fun and such. With the company of Hatea and Frederick, I returned home to Selathyr. I was happy to learn that the city and the Aymeri House was doing well. It was so good to catch up with Trystan, he was kind enough to let us stay there.   While staying in Selathyr I was able to learn some truths on certain matters that I had left as a loose end of sorts. Some of the truths are disturbing but the main problem seems like... he's gone. Yes, that bastard Rilynnzea is gone, that's probably the one thing I don't regret out of that whole mess was killing him. Part of me wishes I made it last just a little longer the fire killed him way to quick. He should have suffered more.   Still I might need to keep an eye on things going on there, in case any other fool tries to do what he was doing. I wonder though sometimes if the city leaders there are still...   (purposely left unfinished)

The Week in Stonefort
7th Tarsakh

After defeating Srot the group decided some time off was probably a good idea. Not too sure what everyone else did in this time. I spent most of my time either at my home or in Stonefort. However, with the death of the King things aren't like other times I've been here.   Riots and factions splitting within the Houses on who should be in charge. Each of the districts has been heavily guarded and House Mirau is using the majority of the military to subjugate the rest of the districts. The commonfolk that I have seen seem to be comfortable by the fact that the General leading the troops is very lenient with the people in trying to restore and maintain order in the streets, he seems to be more favorable to the diplomacy approach. Most of the people here in Stonefort see General Tergud Vold as a hero.   House Voletta seems to have barricaded themselves in their own district and are not allowing anyone in or out of it. They seemed to have not been too keen on strangers the first time we went in their area but now it appears much worse.   I've also heard various rumors circulating the city of widespread chaos in areas that are occupied by Stonefort and the soldiers being sent out but then none of the Houses claiming them. Fighting has increased between Frostmer and Stonefort and more and more resources from the areas are being taken and used. I've heard the battles are becoming worse now too, with the winter finally ending. One thing I find disturbing though is there are claims that the dead are unable to be revived in some of the areas.   I've usually been happy most in Stonefort at the Arcanum. While I've given up my room there I still visit the people there a lot. I was happy to hear that the Mage of Illusion has come out of his coma. I still can't believe the Crown went so far as to do that to him, but then measures for safety made it justified. I can only imagine what might have happened if that mage discovered the Crown of Night that I kept with me. Either way I've not seen him, he's been remaining at home, maybe he's still somewhat recovering. I feel bad for Filli and Crest too, they seem troubled and worried that the City might try to enlist the mages in the Arcanum and they fear if this happens they will be sent to provide assistance in the "troubled regions"   I ended up getting closer to Hatea in this time as well. We've been friends for awhile but this time a true bond was formed. At least she'll be safe now from that disgusting Shadar Kai. Like I'm really going to help him get her when he keeps using a Lich over and over again, what an idiot.

The Frozen King
2nd Tarsakh

It was decided that Srot must be dealt with, upon hearing the news that the King of Stonefort is dead they may not be in a position to deal with the Frozen King. We were able to teleport into the Underdark city which we first encountered Srot with Al's help. Like the first time we had to destroy pillars which went faster this time due to splitting up into smaller groups. Al and I then went to the roof of the tower and proceeded to destroy the pillars up there, taking care of any enemies we came across.   The rest of the party joined us here and we were able to defeat the various undead and the dragon that tried to stop us. In that moment a portal opened, to which we all went through. This is where we met IIdaris, General Rime, and Archmage Vexas, who were undead and they were able to open a portal to where Srot was.   Upon entering we found ourselves in a throne room and Srot on his throne. He talked to us like he knew all of us and changed his form to something he thought we would all recognize, a male high elf. None of us knew who he was or what he was even talking about on some of the things he said. With the conversations not really going anywhere a battle began and he was defeated. During the battle, Revan used his scythe again, while it didn't turn on us again, I don't trust him. After the battle it was discovered that Srot was using one of the Points of Power, the Philosopher's Stone, to which is now in Hawkwheat's possession. Al and I then returned to the Whitestider base.   ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- (Dialogue of Srot before combat)   "Welcome, honored guests to the grand city of Kyfer, The Hearth of the North and the Boreal Crown." Walking down off his throne a few steps, he holds out his arms, "Magnificent is it not? I know it is perhaps not to what it was before, however, I am nearly finished carving out my new kingdom in your plane. Just as our agreement had been before."   He steps down farther walking in front of each of you as he makes eye contact, "Like an old reunion isn't it? I know I must look different since last we intersected, the whole lich thing really isn't my cup of tea, much harder to entertain guests when they are staring into your body whenever their eyes wander." He snaps his fingers up in front of Al, "Try not to stare please, this is a place of proper manners. So keep your mischievous tendencies at bay."   Stepping over to Hawkwheat, and rubs his forehead before smiling down at the mousefolk, "I can probably guess what you are upset about, you don't like the curse do you? I suppose it has been long enough and your people may have changed their minds by now. So, I suppose, in spite of the crowd you brought with you, would your people join under the Boreal Crown or remain in accursed exile? I really do hope we can find a mutual benefit for both of our kin. How about a deal, I remove the curse on your people, and they will be safe and cared for. And in return, I need you to give me Beckett's location. Easy, no strings attached, we both get what we want."   "I should have known you weren't going to want to listen, especially since Beckett sent his Maiden of Destruction." He looks over at Inara with a resented gaze, "No one, sends an immolator of millions to make a fair peace treaty. The only monster here is you."

Completing the Crown of Night
13th of Ches

With the failure at going to stop Srot and the incident at Stonefort's Magic Academy, I decided it was time to retrieve the Crown of Night from Beckett, though I wasn't sure where he was keeping it. Setting off on my own private mission of sorts to do this. However, it turns out what was being tracked was the last gem. With the Whitestriders Plane being on a world called Deminol which was destroyed by the Devourer.   Upon entering this area, I was completely cut off from any contact with the Crown of Night. Alone, scared, and angry I made my way through the hallways and rooms trying to find, what I thought I was still looking for. I saw bodies and blood everywhere and came across an amulet and ring that I took with me, both had the initials L.B. on them.   As I continued on my way, I became dizzy at points. Seeing a white translucent figure that was followed by a shadow figure, they seemed to be in conversation with each other. Getting closer, I was able to make out some of their conversation. At the time I wish I had realized it was a vision of the past I was seeing of me and the Crown talking to each other.   Upon entering the room that they went into I became extremely dizzy and fell to the floor. Waking up I was in the same place but a different time. It was my room and it was before the Devourer ever came, and we've been here for at least 5 years. She was a short blonde women and she spoke of her daughter, Lorena. We've apparently moved from other places/worlds before, she spoke of Gyinia that had a view of the violet waters. She also knew about me always pranking that asshole, Jin and apparently her daughter knew about it too. Before I could pry anymore the vision faded and I woke up on the cold floor of the destroyed room.   Continuing on my little quest I searched more. Most of the scenery was much of the same. However, one room was odd as it was completely inverted and it looked to be a child's room. Small clothing and paintbrushes everywhere with other small items. I assume this would have been Lorena's room.   Making my way down the hallway I began to feel dizzy again and sharp ringing in my ears as I saw two shadow figures step into the last room on the right side. Going into the room they went into which, to my surprise, the room was untouched. There was a circle in the center of the room surrounded by runic lettering that circled the perimeter. Stepping closer to the circle, trying to determine what the runes were, the circle started to spin slowly. Which led to another vision in this place, of the past...   The Vision   I notice that I'm holding a silver circlet, with several fine gems in it as you absentmindedly rub the smooth metal as I lean against the glass.   "This is it then isn't it?" The rather dreary tone ringing through the room as several others are seen around the gem.   "I still think it could have worked. We owed it to them." Another figure comments much to the rather mixed feelings of the ones around the figure.   "Captain, we can't go back. We need to act now before it knows."   The Captain with streaming tears, holds his hand along with the 6 others against the gem. Opening a locket and staring down at it. With a renewed vigor, the locket snaps close.   As the light expands from the gem, your own grip tightens on the metal within your own hand as an ear piercing shattering leaves my senses ringing and feeling my body go limp as Jenkins catches your my as you fall backwards.   "Oh my gods, Wraith! Come on, snap out of it, wake up!" Not sensing any large response, his arms wrap around my body, as he runs back out from the room where I had heard the two figures speaking, nearly slipping as he steps over the rubble and back towards the sealed door.   My mind drifting as I tighten my grip, my senses on fire as I pass out.   Within my room, as I regain consciousness, 8 hours later, a shrouded black figure of shadow sits next to me, holding my hand.   Feeling the object in my fingers, I open my grip to see a black opal, the shadow giving a warm smile.   It has been some time since we have truly been together. But, it can be just like it was at the beginning again.   Welcome back, Catalyst of the Crown of Night.   Heading to speak with Beckett, after a brief conversation with the Crown, I gave him the gem which he put into the Crown of Night, that he had in his office, to which it took the shape of a silver circlet. I also showed him the amulet and ring I had found. He told me that they were his wife's Lerrisa and that me and her had been great friends. I pressed information on his daughter but Jin, that asshole, rudely interrupted that conversation.

The Oracle

We met with the Oracle again and she spoke of many things, not all the things make sense just yet. It was odd though, at one point it seemed as if she was starting to become unhinged. The way Beckett responded to her to calm her down, I've never seen him act that way towards anyone. Usually he remains somewhat, I don't want to say uncaring, but perhaps distanced from everyone else at in the Whitestriders. It was odd to see him act like this to her......   She then showed me a vision that I had no recollection... (below is the memory that I was shown)   Beckoned to the Oracle's sanctum, the white space encompassing the entire interior with the Oracle standing in the middle, the ground with several scattered pieces of porcelain. Her mask shifts, like a liquid wave as it moves to a younger looking mask with a bright expression.   "Do you remember the feeling of anticipation as you all began? The chosen few to seek salvation." Finishing her words, a smile distorts on her face and the room fills with the interior of a massive room, 10 figures standing around a large white diamond shapped gem, suspended in the center of a glass cylinder, each wearing a similar formal outfit of white, gold and red.   The Oracle stands next to you as you look around, the same outfit now adorning your own body as the voices speak amongst each other, "Friends, today we finally set out. Exploring beyond even the planewalkers we read as children. The greats going to meet the gods and converse with them. Time is not on our side, but our time is greater than all. Today, we go beyond the veil, no maps, no trail to follow. Today, we become legends, the ones that saved our world." With a round of applause from the others the figure walks over to another as he turns to a shorter figure next to them, less adorned in their outfit. "Hillan, onward."   The entire group watches as the shorter figures features become more clear, revealing a slightly younger Hillan as his smooth face with a large grin but obvious nervousness holds his hand against the glass containing the large gem, arcane runes spreading across it as it begins spinning. Faster and faster, as a bright light blinds the room.   As the light dies, the figures stand suspended in time as the Oracle walks around them, the adorned figure with his arm around a shorter blonde, a comforting gesture. The others bracing themselves in vairous notions of eagerness, and anxious fear.   The Oracle slowly walking around them, her hand rubbing the fabric on the arms as she passes. "And so it began. The fifty years that time broke."   As the space fades, a few standing in the space leaning and conversing amongst the gem, only three standing in the area as one speaks, "Do you think it is a good idea? Once we split it, we can't go back." The group nods in approval, but still obviously unsure of another course of action.   "I don't think Lorena can assist in it, but with her on our side, we might be able to convince the captain to consider another option."   The other corner figure speaks up, absentmindedly flipping a small trinket in their hand before a lizard steals it out of the air and he starts trying to get it back from it. With a strained groan, "Hey, it was only partially my idea this time. I think it will work. Trust me." The others smile as another throws an object across the room at him, causing the struggling figure fall off his lizard. "Oh come on, Wraith, think about it. We would be like gods. We might stand a chance this time, not to mention I don't think hope will be there if we are forced to run if it is like the last one."   One of the figures stands up and walks to the gem behind the glass, staring in, the face immediately recognizable as your own. "The next iteration, I vote we split it. At least it might be harder to track."*   The Oracle rested her hand on my shoulder, the room returning to pure white. "It called to each of you, I do not blame your decisions. Fifty years of flight and failure. Watching every built life die to the Devourer. It isn't too late."

What Were We Doing?
11th of Ches

After talking with Al and Revan, we came to decision that we should focus on stopping Srot first. We proceeded to Amberkeep to make our way back to the Underdark. However, plans took a bit of a turn. After having an idea of trying to get Stonefort guards to help us with Srot, since they were being stationed in Amberkeep anyways, well that plan was a complete failure. Chaos came about in all plans to get them to help so we ended up teleporting back to Stonefort. However, I might have made a mistake because coming back here Revan decided he wanted to join the Arcanium so he could use magic inside Stoneforts walls without punishment. That test was going all well till the end, it appears his scythe, Meniscus the Lich, can take over him at any time. People from Gloomrot and this happened and I was attacked. Yet the fool still wants to carry that scythe around with him. I don't trust him or the one he's getting power from.

Just a Normal Day
10th of Ches

Woke up feeling better, can't really recall why I might have been upset. It's odd though that the Focus seems to be in Beckett's office now. I guess Rolde found a way to retrieve it or someone else did. Was able to get some items from loot boxes and I guess we're going to set off to find Delma or deal with Srot, the Frozen King.     (Has no memory of what happened in Deepgate)

No One Understands
9th of Ches

I can't help them, I realised that after the first fireball they set off. Then there was the next one and the next one. My friends don't seem to understand or care, they just kept casting it over and over again. The Crown doesn't seem to understand either, he could help me but he won't. I need to do this. I need to do this so I can help them. Why can't he understand that?

Disastrous Deepgate Adventure
6th of Ches

He charged at us, nothing I did seemed to work on slowing him down. This big, ugly, eyeless creature was going to kill us all. Rolde wasn't doing anything, just sitting there. I should have realized more that something was wrong, very very wrong. The creature didn't seem to want anything to really do with Rolde, so I was able to enact a plan that might work. Yelling to Lerissa to be near Rolde and I would get everyone to safety, I blinked into the Ethereal Plane to prepare the Whitestider item for teleporting back to the demi-plane. Once the item was ready I ended the spell going back to the material plane. I put my hand around Rolde's arm, it was hot, way too hot but we had to get out of there. My other hand grabbing Lerrisa. Right before the teleport the creature tore off her arm at the shoulder.   Crashing to the floor seconds later in the demi-plane. Screaming for help and giving Lerrisa a healing potion to try and help, Beckett, Hillan, and Kildan rush over. Kildan is told to take Lerrisa to Jin to try and help her. All the recent events racing threw my head and i look at Rolde, fearing the worst I ask the Crown, if it's seen anything like this. The response is one I dread, "he is in a state of abject assimilation to the will of the Focus of Untamed Flame, and Rolde is losing." Rolde starts emitting scorching flames from himself and the air becomes hot and painful, all of us backing up I let Beckett know about the Flame. Beckett tries casting barriers but none of them hold up. Only thinking of possibly one solution, one barrier I suggest the Amulet and Beckett races off to get it. Hillan's stubble on his face is gone and smoke starts drifting from his hair. He throws up a wall of ice but that melts away almost as fast as it was put up.   Beckett returning with the Amulet is able to cast a barrier. Rolde looks up with a dour expression, his face burned, holding a burning wooden fox as he balls a fist around it, saying, "I'm sorry, I could have saved everyone." Before he fades behind the fire storm, as the barrier finishes. Beckett and Hillan leaving... I wanted to help... I tried to help I brought him back here to burn up and die though. I brought back an item of death...   Walking down the hall with the little shadow wisp on my shoulder, realizing I have to deal with "that one" now, approaching Jin's room to check and see how Lerrisa is doing. Of course Jin spouts off stupid comments that he knows nothing about, the arrogant ass. At least Beckett assured me that Lerrisa would be okay and returned safely. Now I just sit here in my room and write. I don't know what could have been done differently. I never thought he'd try and take the Flame himself and now he paid the price for it. Items of death they could all be, at least I lucked out with the better one.

Deepgate
6th of Ches

Arrives at Deepgate where I approach and ask some of the guards if they have seen my male elven friend, Rolde. They can't recall and I eventually finds someone there that is "in charge" After talking with her, I learn that someone fitting Rolde's description might have gone into one of the towers a while back. Learning a little bit more about the explosion and some events surrounding that. One thing that I made a mental note of was how odd it was that some of the solders were wearing elf ears, when they weren't elves. Who wears fake elf ears?! I assume that something might be in the water or air making the guards a bit 'off'   Entering the tower where the door is already opened. Making my way through several doors and hallways without much trouble. Sometimes seeing humanoid figures with swords but I am able to avoid making any contact with them. I catches the sound of someone breathing and heads towards it, finding a very wounded Lerrisa Berevan. Giving one of the healing pots I had on me to Lerrisa we make our way down a very large hole in the room.   While this bottom layer seems to lack most of the bodies as the previous floor we make their way down a hallway and come to a room where we encounter an interesting creature, named Arodore. Following him, both Lerrisa and myself are ready to attack at any moment, we see him take a stone and put it in a construct thus waking it up. I ask him to remove the stone and the construct lets out a deafening scream. After a conversation with this "one-eyed thing" it is made clear that this is the one I've heard about, from Al, that can read minds. A deal is offered and I reject it moving to attack him but he flees, shutting a door and locking it behind him. I pick up a stone from the nearby table and tries to bring a construct to life again, a thought of having that break the door down. Instead the construct cracks and then something very very big is heard running towards them in the halls.   Making a run for it Lerrisa and I sprint down a few hallways till they come to a very nice looking room. I recognize a male elf inside the room. I have found Rolde but something appears to be "off" he's hunched over and seems completely unresponsive to all the noise that is echoing through the halls. This massive eyeless creature enters the room, prompting me to cast Death Ward on myself, fearing that I may have gotten myself into quite a mess.
