The Forging of Arms and Armor

Clang. The hammer strikes. Clang. The piece is shaped. Clang. The promise made. Clang...
— Excerpt from a Dwarven Forging song.
The world of Eiria's vast materials and forging techniques beheld to the people. From the mundane to the fantastical the world of Eiria holds a varied amount of materials, smelting, and forging techniques. Some held close to a set of people while others freely taught.

Eiria Materials/Forging Techniques

Steel Fur

Like Lyrans they also figured out their own technique to forging armor that was light and flexible, though the difference is it tends to be a matte gunmetal coloration. And like Lyran armor is only better than Ezanian Beast Hide is due to the fact it is made from metal and not hide.

Steel Hide

While not as light as Elven, they have found their own ways of making light weight, flexible armor, coming out in a high sheen. Only better than Ezanian Beast Hide due to the fact it is a metal and not leather.

Beast Hide

They do excel in making leather armor and whips. Their Beast Hide creations are the finest leather working in Eiria. You can't find better craftsmen for leather saddles for almost any beast.

Orcish Bone

Known for their hunting and turning everything they can into something usable. Their shamans took to blessing plates of bone in the name of Muldir. Imbuing it to be just a tad better than steel.

Obsidian

Magically forged by the Lamia, turned from the volcanic glass into master work weapons. No one but the Lamia know-how as it is a closely guarded secret that they are not inclined to share with the world.

Fjorn Fur

You cannot find a warmer set of armor unless you go to the Flakovians but for your standard use, there is no warmer. While their leather armor is not better than the Ezanaian Beast Hide, there are added perks to Fjorn work, such as Frost Steel.

Elven

Know for their light builds and forging techniques, they are some of the finer craftsmen when it comes to light armor. Designs often following a nature theme but can be commissioned for other looks. Tending to be easier to get in out of and still give great protection.

Frost Steel

When the Fjorn mined into the permafrost mountains of Eiria they found a steel-like ore than when smelted and worked would give a bluish tint to the armor or weapon. The bluer it is the worse in quality. When worked by someone trained any frost-based enchantment gets three more uses, and any fire-based is cut down by three uses.

Flame Steel

Found with in the holdings of the Draconians, Flame steel is a steel-colored metal with an orange tinge to it. Though it is said the more orange tint the lesser the quality so Flame Steel that looks just like steel is said to be the work of a master craftsman. When worked by someone trained any fire-based enchantment gets three more uses, and any frost-based is cut down by three uses.

Deep Stadus Ore

A black colored ore that when smelted down into metal looks like black steel. When it cools, True Stadus Stone generally begin to grow on the ingots as well as finished pieces. While they can be removed, they a generally save and uses for embeds with in the finished piece. When worked by someone trained any enchantment gets three more uses.

Refined Frost Steel

Found first by the Falkovians, they went beyond the ability to craft Frost Steel. Able to refine it, making it where the metal takes on a blue sheen when worked at a master's level. When worked by someone trained any frost-based enchantment gets four more uses, and any fire-based is cut down by two uses.
