Gwendolyn's Orphanage

Gwendolyn's Orphanage was originally the main temple to the Goddess of Hope Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn was famously killed by the evil Mage Malvo and her murder sparked the Divine Conflict. Gwendolyn was never replaced as a Goddess and as such her temples fell out of use. In the city of Prabury, where Gwendolyn's main temple resided the priests and priestesses their decided to turn the temple into a place where children who did not have homes could stay and they re-branded the temple Gwendolyn's Orphanage.

The orphanage is primarily funded by donations made to it by followers of Gwendolyn, whom still tithe to her. Other funding comes from various small groups and from funds levied by taxes. The children who reside in the orphanage are allowed to stay for free until they reach 16 years of age whereupon they are allow to stay for up to two more years however they will now have to pay room and board. This requires most to find a job and usually results in the orphan discovering the means to live on their own.

The Orphanage's leadership has sought to convert other former temples to orphanages as well, however due to size and funding limitations the idea never became a reality. As of 313 P.C., only the main temple was converted to a Gwendolyn's Orphanage.
