Dhasinar's Anvil is a legendary anvil that was created by the Dwarven Forge Lord, Dhasinar. Dwarven legend claims that Dhasinar forged an anvil and infused some of his divine power into it, giving the anvil the ability to enhance the speed and skill of those who craft items with it.

The anvil was offered as prize in a competition devised by the Forge Lords to find the greatest Dwarnven Smith of the age. Dwarven Smiths of all manner of skill and ability came to the capital city of Var Kohldur with their works to try to impress the Forge Lords and win the prize. However, the Forge Lords were unimpressed. It was not until Wenwaebena Mountainheart arrived with a suit of armor of such craftsmanship that it was almost to the abilities of the Forge Lords themselves, that they were satisfied that they had found their winner. Dhasinar granted the title of Master Smith to Wenwaebena Mountainheart and entrusted the anvil to her care.

The Forge Lords, however, were deceptive in their prize. The Anvil was too heavy to be moved by mortal means and had to remain in Var Kohldur. Master Mountainheart had to make a choice; to return to her home and family without the anvil, or to relocated them to Var Kohldur. Upon seeing the work she could complete on the Anvil, Dwarven greed and the desire for riches got the best of Mountainheart, and she sent for her family.

During the next 80 years, Master Wenwaebena Mountainheart would create some of the most powerful weapons and protective armors on the anvil that have ever been made. When she passed into stone, possession of Dhasinar's Anvil went to her first apprentice, her son, Kognith Mountainheart. Since that time, the anvil has stayed as a possession of the Mountainheart Clan and is still used to this day to craft and repair all manner of weapons and armors.

Having been cast from Empyrean Ore and imbued with with divine energy anyone who uses the anvil to craft an item finds that they are able to work faster and more efficiently, so they use less materials than what would normally be needed to complete a project.

Manufacturing process

The anvil itself was cast from Empyrean Ore and was further imbued with divine energy from Dhasinar.

Significance

The current owner of the anvil is always addressed as "Master Smith" even if that honorific has not been earned. The owner of the anvil is also always considered to be the head of the Mountainheart Clan.
