The Tribusican Plains

Along the west coast of the continent stretches the Tribusican Plains, a fertile rolling landscape with three strong rivers flowing to the ocean from the Tyrnzig Mountains. The plains are protected by the Caeyed Empire, a mighty entity that rules over nearly 50 million people. Thriving agricultural settlements cover the plains entirely and produce enough food for the empire twice fold. Amber seas of grain wave with the breeze and mighty green stalks burst from the rich soil giving bountiful harvests. Gentle winds carry in healthy rains from the east to the west and rarely are droughts ever encountered. Towards the north of the plains the weather becomes mildly colder and less fertile, yet timber trees are grown and harvested in exceptional, and mysterious, numbers. It is believed that the ancient rituals permitted by the Caeyed allow the trees to grow incredibly fast, other purport blood rituals sacrifice the living for the trees. To the south swampy marshlands eat up the fertility of the soil and break apart the land, the air more humid and temperature warmer. Different forms of agriculture take place in this area such as cultivating mushrooms and fungus for the apothecaries in the city.

Geography

Rolling hills undulate as far as the eye can see with small streams and creeks flowing into the three large rivers that carve their paths across the land into the sea. Bounded by mountains to the north and east, these regions are less fertile and you will find more mines than fields in the area. The Elder Grove tucked into the north provides near endless supplies of wood, and the ocean to the west brings massive catches of fish for the markets. To the south the fields again thin out as the soil becomes less fertile and swampy marshes break apart the landscape.
