Tower of the Arcane Order

The Tower of the Arcane Order is a large and heavily fortified tower located in the forest town of Newhome. It is the seat of power of the Arcane Order of Newhome and, at 160 feet across and over a hundred feet tall, it is the most prominent structure in the town.   Construction of the tower was completed nearly 20 years ago in Goodmoon of 552 CR. Today the tower is home to more than 100 mages, scholars, and artisans working to reclaim and preserve arcane knowledge that came close to being lost during the Purge of Mages.   The tower's design is a synthesis of dwarven, gnomish, and gray elven architecture and engineering. The outer walls are 10 foot thick dwarven-quarried stone with an outer shell of solid stone magically transmuted from clay encapsulating alchemical materials that guard against scrying, magical intrusion, and planar incursions. The center of the tower is open from the ground floor all the way up to the large glass dome roof, creating a well-lit and open interior with balconies that overlook the central atrium below.   The tower contains the Order's library of arcane texts, a temple to Sorceros, a museum, 16 offices of inquiry, and 5 floors of apartments for members of the Arcane Order of Newhome. The top floor houses the Mage Guard and Mage Knights of the Arcane Order. The roof of the tower that rings the tower's glass dome is fortified and equipped with 4 large scorpion-style ballista to defend the tower from any airborn threats.   The tower is protected by many undocumented magical wards that were crafted via ceremonial magic in the early years after construction. Much of the interior is lit by permanent Mage Light, which can only be seen by those with magical aptitude. It is also rumored that the many statues within the tower are magical constructs that will come to life and defend the tower, should a threat present itself.
Water
Water is stored in large tanks on the top floor of the tower and gravity-fed to the lower floors. The tanks are typically replenished via rain water that is either naturally occuring or conjured via the Rain spell. The pipes from the roof to the tanks are equipped with Rings of Water Purification so that all caught water is magically purified before entering the tanks. In the case of an extreme emergency, the tanks can be replenished via Create Water or a gateway to the Realm of Elemental Water.
