Elizan

If an Elizan survives the trip to a port he's as likely to sign on for the next expedition needs a crew as they are to find a tavern. If they do choose the tavern, well, I hope it's well stocked. The Elizans are people who value freedom, independence, and adventure. Most Elizans can trace their family roots back to the green hills of Donnashire, the peninsula and home of The Eliz Kingdom. This is a point of pride and disagreement for Elizan families and the cause for many a barroom brawl. The majority of Elizans are halflings, they tend to differ significantly from the more traditional homey and peaceful halflings. Elizans work well with other races and ethnicities where their core values align. They are staunch defenders of their people's homelands and their beliefs but it is very rare for them to unite under the idea of conquest or military expansion.
The Elizan homeland is surrounded by the Khatarus Ocean to the west, the Boiling Bay to the east and the Desolation to the north. Access to their homeland was blocked by everything but sea travel and Osman Caravan.
Around Mitari it is a common to hear someone say "You'll need an Elizan." This saying isn't derogatory, in fact, most Elizans see it as a compliment. Where others fail, shy from a challenge, or wilt in the face of danger they are the first in line.
Elizan's love to tell the stories of their dangerous exploits and their family's exploits, the bigger the danger or worse the scar the better. Of the towns and ports in Donnashire and Eliz their mayor is typically elected by whomever has the best story and can prove it. In Eliz the Hero's rule.
