The Endless Night

A natural phenomenon that saw the Edoris remain dark for a period of several months. This coincided with an influx of Fey entering the material plane. The 'Civilized Races' of Goren mistrusted these newcomers, blaming them for the unnatural darkness; they drove many of the fair folk Northward.
Goren was already home to many elven tribes at the time, and given their similarity in features to the dominate 'Civilized Race', the humans, they were not driven out the way that other creatures with Fey ancestry were.
