Gertie Garp: The Fighter with a Harp

Gertie Garp is the story of the titular girl. She's a rough and tumble explorer who has a big mouth but a bigger heart. She often finds herself in trouble with some authority or dangerous creature, but using her harp and hammer she finds a way out, using her wit to great effect. There are ten books in the series, and while none of them are terribly different from the other, they are all entertaining to read.
