Kingstep Mountains
The Path of Ascension
A deadly and mysterious mountain range in the center of the continent. It divides the land in two, making travel difficult for those intrepid or stupid enough to attempt it. Hearsay and rumors say this is the ancestral home of all giants, and the Myrsky (the fabled storm giants) live in the clouds about it's peaks, ruling over all others.
Located on the southwestern corner of the mountain range is a furious storm of ash and fire. Referred to as the Red Dawn by most of the world, it is an active volcano surrounded by a scarred expanse of ashen, barren earth. It is avoided by those who possess any modicum of sanity, and any others are soon lost to it's wrath.
