Ecoterra is a place where everything is run off of renewable energy and sustainability is key. The inhabitants take special care to keep their home green and self-reliant. The people of Ecoterra are a mix of Chinese descent and a recent surge in the population of European descent. Food is an important part of culture, as well as the pertinence of the religion of Buddhism. While most buildings have been updated to meet regulations for the environment, many old temples remain. It creates a juxtaposition of skyscrapers rising among the curved roofs of pagodas. When it comes to clothing, everyone dresses in natural based fabrics that are efficiently made through means that do not harm the environment. Bamboo weave fabrics and hemp cloth are favorites among those who care about fashion and the environment. As well, solar panels and wind turbines are often incorporated in miniature into the clothing. Panels may be shoulder pads, while turbines may be in the train of a dress.
