Moradin (Mor-a-din)

God of the Forge, Father of Mountains, Moradin, God of Creation, rules his domain with pride, his domain of pure art, talent and skill.   Moradin is often seen as one of the purest of the Gods for he does little other than create, standing up with (some would say even above) the likes of Bahamut and Belenus, many even believe him to be the first, and therefore one true God, who then created the others so he wouldn't be alone. Those who don't believe it was him, with the help of Belenus, Sehanine and Yondalla, his partner, who created the world and everything in it.   The God of Creation and the Goddess of Nature, two forces that work together despite their differences, Yondalla stands for everything created through nature, untouched to grow, adapt and change in it's own time whilst Moradin is the driving force behind creativity, industrialisation and forceful, fast change. They both represent forces that make things, however only one represents true creation, yet the have an inseperable bond.   Said to be the father of Dwarves Moradin inspires much of their culture, everything from their architectural design right down to their love of craft all is said to be a gift from the father himself, his worship isn't limited to there though. Many other races bow and pay their respects to the God of the Forge for craftsmen and artists exist in every culture, as long as people exist they will always have a desire to create, some inner seed of the father to spread his gift through the world. Craftsmen of all kinds (blacksmiths, carpenters, leather workers, etc) will offer a prayer to the God of Creation before beginning a project, not to ask for something but to thank him for their gifts, for their own skill and hard work.   The God of Creation resembles the Dwarves who call themselves descendants, with a short and stocky build (although still much larger than any other race), a long orange beard and breaided hair. He is often depicted with armour and helm of pure gold and silver, carying his trusted gem encrusted hammer by his side. It is this image that the Dwarves imbue into their own designs.
