Suntak Celebrations

On a sunny spring day, near the Elkryn Mountains, the sun drow spend this moment basking in the sunlight. They look back fondly at their life thinking about what has happened to them since they came to the surface. This day is spent honoring Suntak, the elven god of the sun, and the Drow that on this day thousands of years ago surfaced and became the first of the Sun Drow. In the villages people gather around different stalls where you can buy food and toys. It isn’t unusual to see a few gnomes from the neighboring forests of Merfiz’s Wood and Two Willow Forest participate in all the activities, particularly focused on flower gathering and knotting them into crowns and garlands and such.

History

On this day thousands of years ago, Suntak, the elven god of the sun, offered Drows freedom from Lolth. Most Drow stayed in the under dark to afraid or twisted to ever abandon their goddess, but 20 Drow lead by the one known as Sirenlien, ventured up and onto the surface. After that day the Suns Drow were born, forever curious at what Ebrek has to offer, but this special day, always clear skies and and good weather, has been celebrated for the purpose of history and has always been the same.

Execution

The day starts with the priests of Suntak singing a hymn empowered by their magical robes, allowing the song to carry out throughout the town, and waking the slumbering citizens of the four sundrow towns and the great city of Eolos. From the moment they wake up to the moment they fall asleep, everyone is on their best behavior, greeting neighbors, helping others and decorating all over in preparation for the ceremony
