Golden Goose Vending Machine
In the back streets of The Bazaar stands an unusual construct of gold, iron and crystal glass, engraved with a large goose. No one knows who installed it, who owns it or who refills it. A customer can insert one gold into the slot, and the machine will vend a curious porcelain egg a few inches across. On cracking open the shell, the item will be revealed. Many (most) of the items couldn't possibly fit in the shell - stories tell of one patron who received a sentient mahogany and silk reclining couch, another who received a young Roc, or a lifesize statue of a young dragon carved in Syberis Dragonshards. Nearby damage to buildings suggests that at least some of these outsize stories may be true.
The machine can only be used once per week. Any attempt to get around this restriction - inserting more coins, paying others to insert coins for you, stealing eggs that have not yet been cracked open - unfailingly produces a large volume of rotten egg.
