In from the Wilds

General Summary

Our heroes pressed deeper into Xen'Drik, narrowly avoiding a confrontation between two Stone Giants and a Tyrannosaurus. They came upon a river, and while trying to cross Merrit was beset by a crocodile, which was easily dispatched. The Lizardfolk who came to investigate the intrusion into their territory. After a dangerous encounter, in which Serrich almost died, the party retreated to regroup and find a new way to their goal.   Eventually, they made it deep into the swamp, to a suitable Soarwood tree. While waiting for nightfall there was a brief run-in with an Axe Beak; however, Serrich tamed it with magic to claim as a mount. The tree was then promptly cut down, with only a small fight with Mud Mephits that had been roosting in the tree.   With the tree trunk in their possession, our heroes spent the night retracing their steps. Desperate to be done with this adventure. Finally returning to The Tides Pleasure they collapsed as repairs were made, and soon enough they were back on their way. With this task complete they petitioned Captain Ballis d'Lyandar to look in the possessions of Qioh Ir'Tiam the nobleman lost overboard. In his trunk, they found some fine clothes, and a set of silver dining wear, emblazoned with a roaring OwlBear. August d'Phiarlan uncovered a secret drawer, containing a small wealth of coins, as well as an encoded journal.   Within a few days, they finally arrived at Stormreach. There was much to take in, The Iron Watch were patrolling the city; rumours said it was the Storm Lord, Yorrick Amanatu, stretching his muscle. With the latest edition of The Storm Front, our heroes found their way to The Chapterhouse. There they found many interesting characters, including; Heren d’Ghallanda, Birne d’Deneith, Arizima Garrik & Ulina Echefor.
