Druidic Traditions

Druids draw their power from Eberron itself, the land, the sky, and the sea. All natural life is connected, all of it comes from Eberron, and druids cna use this connection to produce magical effects like manipulating the weather, communicating with plants and beasts, and some can even assume the form of other animals. Just like how every priest is not a Cleric, not everybody that follows a druidic tradition is a Druid. Most of those who follow the druidic traditions of the Eldeen Reaches are hunters or farmers, or perhaps druidic initiates who haven't yet managed to access any primal magic.   Druids have a role to play in Eldeen society, they provide spiritual guidance and mediate disputes between communities. They might also act as healers, especially given that House Jorasco doesn't have a notable presence in the Reaches. They won't all be Druids though, at least not in the sense of the character class. In this way, druidic traditions are religions, and sets of traditions that people follow, not just a way for individuals to access magical powers. There are many druidic traditions in Eberron, spread all over the world, and none of them are totally populated by Druids.   The druidic language is a fundamentally magical language, it is the language of Eberron itself. Only those who know it and can utilise it to produce magical effects are capital D Druids. Different traditions have different beliefs about the language, whether they see speaking it as entreating spirits for aid (as in the Talentan Maskweavers) or whether they believe they are asking Eberron herself for assistance. Regardless of their beliefs, all druids know the druidic language and use it produce their magical effects, and it also provides a way for druids to immediately identify each other. It doesn't matter that the Wardens of the Wood, the Gatekeepers and the Talentan Maskweavers have different beliefs, they all speak the same language and they all tap into the same reservoir of primal power, and they recognise this.
