The Dawncrest family

The Dawncrest family has been governing Starharbor since the Age of Dread. The family suffered great losses in the fights against The Dark One. The family was gifted a mighty blade, Dawnbringer, Bane of Undead by a priestess of Aherin, Aspect of Life in the Age of Dread, which Thea Dawncrest supposedly used to deal the killing blow to The Dark One. The blade shattered into four pieces, of which only two could be recovered. The Dawncrest family still safeguards those two shards to this day.
