Ley-Line Observers

Structure

The organisation is divided into four branches, each focusing on one of the four main goals. Although the branches operate mostly independently, they frequently check in with one another to compare notes.

Public Agenda

The organisation has four main goals:
  • To find out what disrupted the Ley-Line
  • To study the effects Ley-Lines have on the environment, in both regular and disrupted state
  • To find a way to restore the disrupted Ley-Line to its original, unsundered state
  • To preserve the other Ley-Lines and prevent any more from disrupting

History

After the Ley-Line running through Kysa was disrupted, resulting in the Chasm and the Wasteland, there was concern that there might be further adverse side effects. Thus, four magically inclined individuals founded the Ley-Line Observers. As they were in disagreement as to what would be the most prevalent thing to focus on, they decided that there should be four branches - each branch focusing on a particular field of research.

Education

The majority of members are magically inclined individuals, such as wizards, sorcerers, and druids. Although even those who do not have magical capabilities - be it their own innate ones or ones granted by a higher power - can sometimes see the Ley-Lines in the twilight of the setting sun, they rarely ever have the aptitude to feel their magic, making it impossible for them to actively interact with them.   Throughout the centuries, there also have been some well-known scholars, who were part of this organisation.
