The cuisine of Terrex

Food and recipes that are out of this world

This stuff is amazing and out of this world
— Many peoples response to Terrexian cuisin
The Great House-Nation of Terrex is known for many things. The fact it's mostly humans is one of them. The incredible variation of its citizens. The fact that its founders came from another world, in fact, from another plane of existence before the Great Barrier was erected. This incredible diversity is reflected not only in it's culture, but in the food and drink it makes, consumes and exports.   This incredible variation and diversity does have one small downside though, especially with regards to food and drink from there - Any food or drink you get from Terrex can vary widely in quality and ingredients. One dish, using the same ingredients made by one sub-culture can taste widely different when compared to another sub-cultures. Doesn't mean it's bad, just some may use spices and other salts for flavour.   For example: one Very popular dish, known as Curry has many different meats and strengths of hotness. What one subculture considers to be mild, another very hot and so on. It is considered to be a good idea when dining in Terrex to be familiar with your hosts preferences beforehand.   To complicate matters further, some of the sub-groups use the same term for dishes that are entirely different. One famous historical example is of Memon the Ponderer on one of his expeditions to explore the world, ordering what he thought was a scone (because he had tried it a few days before and wanted another one) only to find out that in another area a scone was more like a large loaf of bread rather than the small unsweetened cake he was expecting. This lead to his discovery that the same word means different things within the regions and the delight from this discovery was mentioned in many of his books and scrolls.
