Warfare is a dirty nasty business, but it has never been as relevant as it is now. The arms race never ends, and once again includes magic and psionics alongside traditional melee weapons and firearms, to include energy weapons. Oh, what a time to be alive.

Psychics have been around since the beginning of time, taking advantage of abilities, intuition, and skills that most people never hone. Masters of the psychic arts are truly something to behold, the shear number of phenomena they can produce is mindboggling, but it is the elites of the master psychic who can produce energy from their hands, in the form of melee weapons – most can create any shape they desire, bat, knife, sword, axe, etc. – some can even produce two blades, one in each hand. However, the rarest skill among these elite is the ability to release that psychic energy from the hand, throwing it to a distant target – weapons of this type generally appear as knives, spears, or tomahawks – often to great effect and surprise; few have seen psi-weapons, let alone come across an individual with the capacity to throw it.

Throwing distance vary from individual to individual, taking training and practice to achieve the greatest range, with the furthest extent seemingly around 300m, far further than mundane throwing weapons, without powered assistance or inhuman strength.

History

After the flare – the return of the mythical and supernatural to earth – many ancient cultures and people also returned bringing with them venerable knowledge and lost skills; they alone possessed the knowledge necessary to throw psi-weapons at range, which they eventually passed on to the worthy (and some unworthy as well).
