Joining the Program + First Chapter

"Welcome, users, to the MEH Program. Some of you might be sitting at home, others may be on the train, some could even be in the middle of nature. But all of you are now part of the same family. You are part of the MEH Progam. My name is Poin Tak Hen, I'm the Arbiter in charge of welcoming the new recruits, as well as the overseer of the first chapter of your program. I'll cut to the chase. This is rehabilitation, not vacation. You're here to learn how to respect you little blue ball and how you can help fix the damage your species caused. Some of you might already be acquainted with the problems the Earth face, good, you'll learn faster. Until then, just play along please. As for the more... intense... cases... they need to pay attention. If you don't try to understand what we have to offer, let's just saythere won't be flying cars anytime soon. Anyways, try not to destroy the planet too much, alright? The first tutorial will start soon, select the mission on your Visiotron to begin the lecture. It's the green button on the top left. Arbiter Poin Tak Hen's introductory holo-speech to the new arrivals the MEH program"

Structure

Exposition

The very first introduction is a text on a screen explaining how the Boon aliens have taken over, and they ask the user to not be too alarmed. The Boon are far too advanced and powerful to try and steal the Earth's resources. What they do want is for the earthlings to stop worsening the conditions on Earth. Now that the Boon have subdued the powers responsible for the biggest harms (countries and corporations alike) it is time for the populations themselves to get their act together and protect the planet. Also, since the population still pays taxes to the governments like before, the Boon are happy to help Humans reduce their expenses. Less bills to pay makes people say yeah! As such, they thank the user for joining the MEH program that will teach them how to turn into a better devourer of world. The holographic speech from Arbiter Poin Tak Hen begin shortly after.

Conflict

The Resistance against the Boon attempts to contact the user shortly after they completed the tutorial program of the Introduction.

Rising Action

The more the user earns PR (Planet Respect) Points, the more he learns about the Boon, and gain access to real data on how pollution occurs, how a bike is superior to a car in certain situations, what sort of isolaton he should buy to reduce his taxes... The Resistance urges the user to play along the Boon's false story of cancer-free wind-turbine and mind-probing electric cars. Sadly, the resistance can't offer anything but encourgements at this point of the program. But soon the aliens shall know of Humanity's power!

Resolution

When the first chapter of Arbiter Poin Tak Hen is complete, he congratulates the user and reveals more about his story and how seeing species learning from their mistake makes all of his sleepless nights worthwhile. The smile on children playing in a clean environnement. The First Boon planet was like Earth, but they didn't have almyghty aliens to save them from themselves that time. They were forced to flee, and managed to create an Empire that properly manages their ressources. Poin Tak encourages the user to continue onwards, to the next chapter and Arbiter. Meanwhile, the Resistance is pleased with the user's progress in earning the Boon's trust. They offer cosmetic baubles and stickers to put on the user's Visotron. It's not much, but it's a show of convinction. Down with the Boon!

Relations

Protagonists

The Protagonist is, well, the protagonist. A new arrival on the Rehabilitation program who chosses wether to follow the course and earn points, or join the Resistance or boot the Boon out of Earth, after all, who needs aliens who solved world hunger, provided the energetic needs of the planet, eradicated diseases and made the trains arrive on time? Nobody!   Arbiter Poin Tak Hen is an old, very old, extremely old Boon (though he doesn't look like it because the Boon solved aging too, did we forget to mention it?). He is in charge of the beginning of the MEH Program, and will keep in touch with the protagonist to give advices or complain how the protagonist is a wastful jerk that destroys everything in touch. It'll depend.   The Resistance Leader directly communicates with the Protagonist through Messenger. What an honor! The two of them need to work together to eliminate the Boon! After all, who needs aliens who solved... Anyways Viva la Resistance! Earth is Strong!

Allies

A friend of the Protagonist is named Pom. He's another alien who looks like a giant capybara (the big rat that smiles all the time), not like the Boonese aliens. He was from another planet the Boon conquered and educated. Pom thinks the boon are pragmatic and kind of jerks, but they have good intentions. He is always available by Connectotron to give metaphors about a situation the fly.

Neutrals/Bystanders

Npc Boons and humans can chat with the Protagonist when they reach a training room. Some boons like to remind themselves how to be respectful of the environement, some humans have trouble getting into the program, it reminds them of school or stuff. Tough the technology around looks cool.

Competitors

Valery. She is also part of the MEH Program, and connected the Protagonist to the Resistance Leader for the first time. She doesn't talk much and does her own thing.
Plot type
Prologue to introduce the user to his/her routine.
