Earth (ToV)

As far as humans can tell, Earth is no different from Earth from real life. The history is more or less the same in terms of major documented events. The rise and fall of kingdoms, empires, religious movements and governments, wars and other conflicts and the like have occurred almost verbatim as they have IRL. The major differences between our real world and the world of "Tales of the Viper" are what occurs in between those events, what has fallen into myth and legend, and what has been ignored or erased from history altogether.   In Earth (ToV), reality and what is considered "fantasy" runs almost parallel to each other, rarely intercepting as far as most can tell. There are multiple realms of this World. The two realms of Creation, which includes our basic reality that, as far as most humans can tell, is only occupied by humans, and the realm of the Fade, which goes by many names but it is where the supernatural mostly resides. The third realm, the Outer Realm or "The Outside," exists outside the borders of Creation. Theoretically, there are more realms than this and they are all tied together in some way by the Fade, but their accessibility is tumultuous at best if these areas exist at all.   Creation is a catchall term used to best describe the realm in which Earth and the Fade coexists. While this has other names, depending on who is asked, they all have one thing in common, these are the realms bound together by Mana, the metaphysical energy that permeates all things. The side of Creation where Earth exists has little mana, normally found in the life that inhabits the realm but far from the equal measure. The Fade, on the other hand, is a realm made purely of Mana and all that exists within it are either born from it directly or created indirectly by the collective subconscious of life in reality. Many creatures not of Earth or any world in that reality resides here, from the Fae, monsters of various origins, to even both Heaven and Hell.   The story primarily takes place on Earth, one of the few worlds of our reality that has developed intelligent life. The story consists of interacting with these three realms and their inhabitants, either through violence or diplomacy, with Earth changing as these interactions are made, both for the better and the worse. Social and political consequences will be explored, but the main focus is how it reflects on the main characters and their growth in their personal, interpersonal, social lives.
