General Admiral Theodor von Strolsac

General Admiral Theodor von Strolsac was a Volarion Union naval officer during World War II and the Governer-General of Ankonia from 1940 until his death in 1945. A dedicated fascist, Strolsac is considered one of the worst war criminals of World War II due to his brutal actions against the native population of Ankonia. Strolsac was a veteran of the First World War, fighting in the Amul Navy. He survived the Battle of Drevden in 1915 where a majority of the Amul Navy was sunk by a combined Valerian and Akadian fleet. After the war's end and defeat of the Amul Empire, Strolsac served in the Stelvonian Navy and eventually rose to become a Rear Admiral. In 1920, he joined the newly formed National Germanian Party, a far-right political organization founded by Anton Henzler and Strolsac quickly embraced the ideals of fascism and superiority above all other peoples. Strolsac became a close all of Henzler's. When Henzler rose to power in Stelvonia as Chancellor in 1933, incited a fascist revolution in Austalia, overthrowing the democracy and establishing a dictatorship, and then forming the two into the Volarion Union, Strolsac quickly joined the newly formed Volarion Union Navy and Henzler gave him the rank of Admiral.
Strolsac would serve as part of the Volarion Union Navy Command Staff during the 1930's. When World War II broke out and the Union invaded Slawegath, Strolsac's fleet was part of the naval forces sent to sink the Slawegath Navy. On September,12,1939,Strolsac's fleet encountered a force of Slawegath light cruisers and destroyers. In the ensuing Battle of Selgova, the Slawegath fleet was decimated and Strolsac's forces suffered only one ship lost and minimal casualties. For this, he was promoted to General Admiral. In 1940, he and General Rupprecht Lechner lead an invasion of Ankonia, supported by General Admiral Buchner's carrier fleet. After the invasion succeeded, Strolsac was placed in charge of the military garrison and government put in control of Ankonia. He acted brutally towards the native population, using them as slave labor to build fortifications and to work in factories, building war material for the Union. Ankonia essentially became a self-sufficient fortress under him.
However, in September 1944, Operation Stronghold, the Allies attempt to liberate the island began. Initially, the Union fortifications held and caused heavy losses for the Allies. But soon, reinforcements arrived and were able to break through and destroy the coast emplacements. Strolsac's troops fought a long and grueling campaign against them but, by April 1945, they had reached Covana, the former capital of Coven, and Strolsac's headquarters. Strolsac refused to evacuate as he believed the Union would defeat the Allies. But, the Allied troops beat back the Union army and before he could escape, several allied soldiers broke into his office and shot the General Admiral dead.
