Field Marshal Roland Amboise Botrel

Field Marshal Roland Botrel was a Growax army officer and military dictator of the State of Growax from 1929-1946. Botrel served in World War I and during it he began to dislike the monarchy and began thinking about better ways Growax to be lead. After the war, he quickly began to rise through the ranks and eventually becoming a Field Marshal by 1928. But, during his rise to prominence, he became intrigued by the ideals of fascism. In 1929, along with other military officers from all three branches of the military, overthrew the monarchy in a coup and executed the king, establishing a military dictatorship, the State of Growax. He immediately began growing the Growax military on a great scale and rallying the people around his cause, gaining a very strong following. By World War II, Growax was ready for war and in the first few months, they seemed unstoppable. But, as the war dragged on and the Growax military suffered enormous casualties and was pushed back onto their homeland, Botrel ordered a fight to the last man, which is exactly the policy the people followed was. But, on September,18,1946, during the final battle for the capital of Growax itself, Botrel was killed while leading the people. Seeing their glorious leader dead, the remaining troops and people surrendered shortly afterwards, ending the war for Growax.

Botrel had a deep love for his people and country. After seeing his country disgraced in World War I by the Valerians, he wished to destroy the Valerian Empire and bring back pride to Growax and it's people who he saw were angry at the defeat as well.
