Field Marshal Konstantin Leopold Hengsbach was a Valerian army officer, Secretary of War in the Imperial Council from 1890-1919, and Head of the Valerian Army from 1900-1919.Born into a wealthy military family, Hengsbach joined the army at the age of 19 in 1849,decribed by a his superiors to be very eager to start helping his country. Hengsbach quickly rose through the ranks, achieving the rank of Colonel by 1866,when he was sent along with Major General Chester Hayes to the colonies in North Cambria to help fend off attacks by the local Amazonian tribe. On June,18,1867,he would distinguish himself at the Battle of Hassen where his and Hayes's force of 300 soldiers were ambushed by an Amazonian force of around 1,100 warriors, but were able to fend them off mainly due to the actions and bravery of Hengsbach. In 1900, he became the Head of the Army and when Alexander VII died in 1910 and Vincent took the throne, he would be one of Vincent's closet allies. Hengsbach would be a leading figure in World War I and shortly after the war ended in 1919,due to his old age, Hengsbach would retire from political and military service but would indirectly assist Vincent in strategy for fighting in the Sendovian War. About a year after the war ended, in 1924, at the age of 94, Field Marshal Hengsbach would pass away from old age. In 1999, the sixth Maximillian Kelsen-Class Aircraft Carrier was named Konstantin Hengsbach in his honor.
