Field Marshal Anatole Chardin
Field Marshal Anatole Chardin was a Growax army commander and head of the National Growax Army, the State of Growax's army, from 1929 to his death in 1946. Chardin was a veteran of the First World War and was a very close ally of Roland Botrel, just like the other heads of the other two military branches, Grand Admiral Bittencourt and Marshal of the Air Force Gribelin. During the 1920's and 30's, he masterminded the development of Growax's tank program. He saw the great potential of tanks in modern combat and turned the Growax tank force from a nearly non-existent force to a force to be reckoned and a powerful opponent to the Valerians. During World War II, Chardin's army would be a force to be reckoned with and he lead several battles against the Valerian Army. Chardin was killed on September,16,1946, during the Battle of Growax, when he was leading a battalion of heavy tanks in the streets of the city and as his tank drove through an intersection, a Valerian heavy tank shot his tank in the side, destroying it and killing the crew, including Chardin.
