The Story of Cain

It was widely accepted for much of kindred history that their Vampiric blood started with Cain. As punishment for the murder of his brother, Abel, Cain was damned by God to depend on the blood of his bretheren in order to survive, and be bound to his sin in eternal life. It is his blood which still fuels the Kindred's hunger today. As the generations grow further from his vein, the blood thins, becoming less potent. It is through this that the thin-bloods came into being, and fear of Gehenna has arisen in many Kindred.

Variations & Mutation

It is thought by the Camarilla that the Cain myth is simply that; a myth. There is little evidence to support the claim, other than the spawning of the thin-bloods.
